  • Is there any particular significance if a Native American gifts you a blanket?

    Greetings,

    Something I am curious about.

A Native American came to visit with me today, and returned later and gifted me a blanket, which I thought was very nice. I am just curious if there is any particular significance if a Native gives you a blanket. I don't know what nation he is from, but live in the Eastern Seaboard states, so I mention it as I don't know if there might be differences in culture between east and west, or north or south. It was really sweet for him to bring it to me, we had a nice visit today. Thank you in advance for your answer.

  • Has anyone heard of a cat losing hair while her human was in chemotherapy?

She started losing her hair toward the end of my chemo, during the last couple rounds. I wonder if it has anything to do with the chemo, or is it stress related because I have been too sick to pay much attention to her and play with her as much as she would like? She is only a year old, apart from the hair falling out on her back and rump, she is as energetic and playful as always, and otherwise seems healthy. While I was recovering from chemo it seems as though she was grooming herself an awful lot, and that is why I'm concerned it could be stress related. She had fleas for awhile last year, the whole house was infested, they seem to be gone now, but she still scratches a lot, and I wonder if she has groomed herself to a point of irritation or if it could be something due to all the sprays, flea bath, flea collar and whatever? The fleas seem to be all gone, her flea collar came off about a month ago, she slipped out of it and I hadn't replaced it yet. The hair started falling out after she slipped her collar? She's very energetic and acrobatic, but being raised as an indoor kitty as the road outside the house is too busy and she could get hit too easily by a car.

  • Is it just me,or are you bugged by the term breast cancer "survivor"?

They just told me yesterday that I have breast cancer. I have been looking up info here and there, and finding a bunch of links for breast cancer "survivors". I don't want to "survive" I have a life, and I want to live it!

  • To the people who say "10 points" after your question?

Why do you do that? This isn't Ebay. We're not auctioning answers. All best answers are worth 10 points, if someone answers your question or someone else's Why do you think people should pay more attention to your question if you put "10 points" at the end of it?

  • What features did you use on yahoo classic that are inconvenient to access now?

For example, when I used yahoo classic, I used yellow pages, real estate, answers, and maps, which were all conveniently in the directory of yahoo services on the left side of the page. Yahoo is telling their advertisers and the press that the users didn't use these services, as their justification of why they are now installing ads disguised as new features in the directory on the left side of the page, and now if I want to access products like answers, I have to punch up a new directory to get there. Not that I am using the new page anyway, but what I want to know is, is what yahoo is saying accurate? Did you not use yahoo's services that were posted in the directory? Are you now searching for your yahoo services?

  • Can anybody here tell me how to keep my yahoo set to yahoo classic?

I am fed up with this nonsense. The so called new yahoo is new because everything is rearranged. Woop tee do. I know where every thing I want is located on Yahoo classic, and the features I want to use aren't even listed without having to put up a new directory to look for it. They keep adding all kinds of so called features I have no interest in at all, and they are hiding half the features I normally use on the so called new page. Every time I boot up yahoo anymore, I have to go through extra steps to get rid of the "new" page, and return to classic, and if I go to the new page I have to go to extra steps to get to the items I want and can access easily on yahoo classic. Then there is the fun when they throw up the "new" page without a link to return to classic, and I have to go through extra steps to dump my cookies and reload the page so classic will come back. Answers isn't even on the front page, and apart from mail, that is the main feature I use on yahoo, but now they have other "features" they want to push, so if I want answers I have to take extra steps.

  • MJ fans? What difference does it make to us, if the children are his or not?

Why do we care if his kids are biologically his? Did he love them any less if they are not? They are still his heirs in any case, so why is there so much attention on people dwelling whether he was really their father? Looking white is not proof that they are not his kids, but so many people are posting questions about whether they are or not, and frankly, it stupefies me trying to figure out why it's such a big deal. If they were adopted, we still would regard them as his, so how come it's such a big deal if they are or not, they are his heirs either way....

  • Will you join me for a moment, to remember others who have passed?

Anyone reading the questions will know that I am a fan of Michael Jackson, and mourning his passing. I feel bad though, about all the others who have passed on last week, who did not get their due. So will you join me for a moment of silence and remembrance for a few more favorites?

Mollie Sugden: Who can forget Mrs. Slocombe, with her mile high blue hair talking about her pussy? She was a very funny lady, and I enjoyed Are you being served? very much.

Farrah Fawcett : I was around back in the Charlie's angels days, and wore my hair in a Farrah Flip, the same as all the girls. Although Charlie's Angels always seemed to me to be more about marketing, the fact is that Farrah really became a great actress, in rolls such as in The Burning Bed, and The Apostle. She fought the Good Fight, with great courage.

Ed Macmahon: The man of my dreams who I always hoped would come to my house with one of those big checks. The Tonight Show has not been the same without him on the sofa bouncing off of Johnny.

Karl Malden: One of the world's great tough guys, yet someone I could imagine living next door to.

Billy Mays: the Master Salesman. I am a sales professional for 20+ years myself, and can respect him as a master. Seemed like a good guy, I could imagine living next door to him, too.

Fred Travalena: Funny as hell. Awesome impersonations.

John Joseph Houghtaling: Who? You know his work if you ever stayed in a cheap hotel room along the way. He was the inventor of the magic fingers vibrating bed. :)

So join me for a moment of remembrance, if you will, and share some memories about these or anyone else you feel needs to be remembered today. If you are missing someone closer to home, you're welcome to share about that if you want, too.
