Typewriter ribbon life span?
Hi. I know this is an answer that can vary a lot, but (I think) I'm having problems with my typewriter ribbon. I have a used Smith Corona typewriter, which I use to write every day with. After every 16 pages or so (these pages being single-spaced, solid blocks of text), my ribbon dies on me. Maybe I'm asking for too much, but that seems like a very short life span. Am I doing something wrong or is this the average? The typewriter ribbons were bought on eBay and they were still in their package when I received them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

First off, I'm flamboyant. And gay. I know there will always be people judging me, but I was just wondering how much I will get discriminated against when applying for jobs. Should I just "tone down" the gay at work?

Hi! My dreamjob is being a hairdresser. I'm aware that I have to attend beauty school in order to be a licensed cosmetologist. However, should I also attend a four-year college? Some people have said that not going to college is a stupid idea (in case no one hires me.) I don't want to waste the money, though, especially since I'm confident in what I want to do. Any advice would be very helpful!

Hi! When reading a book, what do you prefer? Do you like simple sentences with easy-to-understand language or long sentences that really make you think about life?

I've been hiding behind a mustache, yeah.

I know these are examples from songs, but I'm mainly talking about books. hehe. Sorry, that's a little confusing.

If the "classic" authors were alive today (Virginia Woolf, Jane Austen, etc) would they write longhand or with a computer and why? Thank you.

I just answered a question about having my first kiss, and it made me think of this question. Where were you when you had your first kiss? And if you haven't had it yet, where would be the perfect location? I had mine in a bathroom. lol.
10 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoI'm having a literary problem!?!? Can you help me?
Hi! I have this really big fear that one day I'll become an author and will only publish one book a year. I'm kinda having a debate in my head right now. On one side, taking a year to write a book ensures that you put the best quality forward. On the other side, though, you won't be able to contribute as much to the literary world. People like Nora Roberts (who writes seven to eight books a year) has contributed almost 200 novels to the literary world...yet, for some reason, I have a feeling those books might be rushed a bit (I can't say for sure, I've never read her). Which sounds better (and which would you do)?: Really taking your time, but only writing one a year (and therefore giving less books) or rushing a bit and writing 7-8 books a year (and therefore contributing more.)

2 AnswersMovies1 decade agoA question about eternity and guardian angels?
Hi! Okay, I know that no one really knows the answer to this question, but I still want to get some opinions. I'm a person who believes in Heaven and God. The bible says that there will be no sadness in Heaven, but doesn't it also say we're watching over our loved ones? What happens if we see friends or family hurting themselves? Surely that would bring on some emotion. Or do you think we would be able to see the good out of it? Like perhaps God shows us that it would eventually lead to somewhere good? I always think about this. I end up laughing because of how mind-blowing the thought is. Thank you for any answers. I understand this is kinda difficult to answer.
