I recently saw a most unusual looking cat; solid black, but the paw pads---just he pads, not the fur---were completely solid white. Not pink but snow white. This cat was healthy and not anemic. Even my vet was said she'd never seen such a thing. Anyone have any guesses what kind of cat this might have been. She was beautiful and very sweet-I would have adopted her if I hadn't just adopted two kittens a couple of days before I saw her!

So, I adopted two perfectly adorable kittens recently. One male, one female, from the same litter. They are now 12 weeks old. I am surprised at the difference in their sizes! She weighs 2.6 lbs and he weighs 3.6 pounds. Considering how tiny they are, that is a significant difference! I'm just curious whether he is especially big or is she especially tiny? Either way, they are both healthy and happy, but I do find it remarkable for there to be such a huge difference in size at this age. Thoughts?

My Malibu has one of those radios that stays on after the car is stopped and the key is removed, until you open the door. At least it did. I took it to a mechanic a few days ago for brake pads and when I got it back this feature had been disabled. The mechanic insists that he didn't do anything and it's just a coincidence. Does anyone know how to turn it back on? I checked my owner's manual and it was not helpful.

I am looking into the possibility of getting a lap band. I'm curious what other people's experiences have been like. Any complications from the surgery? What was your recovery time? Did you lose a lot of weight? How long did it take? Do you have any regrets? How about advice?

Obviously, I am full of questions, so anything you would be willing to share with me would be appreciated.

I have a friend that has seen absolutely none of the classics. We watched Casablanca last week, we are watching Gone With The Wind tonight, and next week we'll watch the African Queen. Anyone have any thoughts about what I should add to the list?
