  • Which crib would you recommend for a short person?

A question asked earlier today got me to thinking. I'm 5'2" and on a traditional drop-down crib I couldn't put my arms down to reach my sleeping granddaughter to check for fever if the side of the crib was up.

Since drop-down cribs will no longer be sold after June, what crib would you recommend for someone who is short and cannot reach into the newer convertible cribs - even with the mattress at its highest point?

  • Why doesn't Facebook use the Security Question?

As part of the new security feature on Facebook everyone was asked to answer a question which would help verify who they are. Recently, I had difficulty remembering my password. Not once did they ask me the security question that I chose and answered. Why?

  • A two pronged problem with a 29 mos. old girl?

My 29 mos. old granddaughter has a speech delay, and is currently working with EI

She self-comforts by sucking her thumb, this of course has to stop. We've tried the nail polish, but she likes the taste of cayenne pepper...the main ingredient, lemon juice, lime juice, balsamic vinegar, soy sauces are also not working.

Does anyone know of a safe, edible, healthy substance to put on a toddler's thumb to get them to stop putting it in their mouth?

Also, we are trying to find ways for her to exercise her mouth muscles and wake up the senses in her mouth. EI is suggesting a battery operated tooth brush, but they aren't recommended for kids under 3 yrs... and my granddaughter has a knack for opening gizmos she shouldn't.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

I still need a dragon statue and all the poker chips, not to mention some of the cards. Any ideas on how I get them now. I've finished all three levels in the Soldier tier.
