Whenever I turn on my TV, an Emerson if it matters, the sound and often the cable itself, is turned off. To get the sound back on, I have to turn the source to a different setting(i.e. HDMI 2 or video) and then switch it back. Obviously, this isn't a major problem, but it's kind of annoying. I've checked all the wires and whether they are loose and they are not. I've also tried hooking the cable into different ports and it works the same in all of them. When I change the tv to video output for videogames, the sound is fine, so I don't think it's the TV.

I have an Acer Aspire with a fairly new replacement battery and a brand new AC Adapter. I plugged in the new adapter and it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every second or so. My screen brightness is adjusted so that it is brighter when it is plugged in, so my screen is basically flashing at me. I've tried unplugging it a few times at all 3 points(the wall socket, the power brick, and the computer itself. Nothing works. It seems to keep the computer at the same power level, which is 4%. What should I do?

The Wii U may not be considered a "next gen" console, but it is coming around the same time as the others so I count it.

Both the next xbox and sony consoles are considering banning used games and will almost certainly not have backwards play-ability. Knowing they are planning to screw us all in their attempt to hurt gamestop and the used games market, will you buy either one?

I've never even played a Wii, but I'm considering going in that direction if this stuff proves to be true. How about you?

I found a site that allows you to play all original pokemon games free online. Can you download it straight to the computer and play offline? If so could you explain it or point me in the right direction?

I have an older tv (a GE) and a DVR. Currently I have to use a vcr as a middle man basically. everything connected to the tv is actually connected to the vcr and runs through that. I wanted to know if I can cut out the middle man and connect the tv straight to the DVR cable box. There is only one wire that is a metal twist on. Also if anyone knows, how can you connect an xbox 360 to a DVR and make it work.

I have always looked at masturbation as stress release or just something I enjoy. Would it be worse if you outright told your partner about it or wait until they catch you? (because you know it will happen eventually)

Why did we stop using these pretty much indestructible discs when the silver ones that we've used for the ps3, Sega Dreamcast, and Xboxes mess up with only a couple scratches? Is it memory or something? The other day I played my ps2 for the first time in god knows how long, and I played two ps1 games: Ridge Racer from 1995 and Two Xtreme from 1996. They worked as well as they ever did and they're scratched to hell and back. Must be scotch-guarded or something. Why change?

First one was my favorite because of the storyline. The second is probably a little better in terms of replayability though. how is the new game? and is the multiplayer any good?
