  • I m renting a house that s currently in the market for sale. There s no lease, and I m just paying month to month agreement.?

So real-estate agents are coming in to the house to show people who are interested in it. As a renter, I m I obligated to leave the house everytime there s a showing? It s just me, my wife and 8yr old son, but it s also winter weather, and sometimes the real-estate agent asks us if it s possible not to be there. But the real question is, are we obligated to step out?

If it helps to know, I m in the state of Illinois in case there are laws or regulations that mentioned that and what are the rights of the renter such as me.

  • I was involved in a car accident where the other driver at fault admitted to his part. So now the insurances are involved. Soo?

So my car is a 99 minivan...old with 160k. Runs good but i spend a lot of money on the engine because well its old. So the estimate of the repairs are soon so be estimated. So my question is, say the repairs are around or over $3000-3500, can I just ask for a check instead and use that money for a newer used car instead of getting my old car fixed? I got a lawyer involved now but I want to know if anyone has tried this before.

  • my car struggles to accelerated?

I have a 1999 Nissan Quest, 160k miles. Im the second owner for about 5 yrs now. I took care of it as much as I could. I've recently noticed that it struggles to accelerated. I changed the oil when it do, recently did tune up, new cables wires, sparks, top and rotor, gasoline filter, but still struggles. What can it be? Some bad sensor? Because no light shows up on the dashboard. Thanks in advance.

  • my car overheats then drops?

Recently my car was overheating, the needle would rise just above the 'normal'. So I had it checked out and supposedly it was the thermostat. So it was changed. I drove my car again, and same issue. One hose was hot and the other on the right side was just warm. So in order to keep it from overheating I was turning on the heat to relief the engine. So what can it be? Bad hose? Sensor? Or just cheap thermostat?

  • can a bank loan you for more than the value of the home?

So based on my income, approximately a bank can loan me about $100k. My income will get better innfhe next few months do to job growth but I'm not sure if I should wait or take advantage of these continuing foreclosures. So my question is, say if I see a house that needs some repair and it cost around $80k, do banks loan more than that and loan me the $100k and use the extra to repair what is needed? I'm very new at this so this question may seem dumb but I would like to know.

  • I found a T-Mobile phone and removed the SIM card?

So I found a T-Mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy Doul and its blocked with a PIN so I can't tell the owner I found his/her phone. So its been about a week since I found it. I removed the SIM card from it.

Question is: Can I sell the phone and can it work for the new buyer? Or can the owner reported and it will stop working? Because I heard people can just switch SIM cards from.one phone to another and it will work. So, can it?

  • Facebook phone app problem.?

I wanted to post a comment on a facebook page on the facebook mobile site. When I'm on the page, I can't find the "post a comment" tab. All I see is time line, photos, and post made by the administrator but not the actual button to post something.

Also.I just got the facebook app update and now on that fan Page I can no longer find that tab either. The only way I can post something is if I go from mobile version to desktop version...then and only then I can post a comment.

So my question is, WHY can't I see that comment tab?

  • Can you go on the internet using wifi on a disconnected smartphone?

I have Verizon and 2 phones with data plans of $30 each. It's kicking my butt on the bills now. I was wondering if I can report it "lost" and replace a phone with a regular phone that won't require no data or that minimum data for $10. But still use that disconnected phone for WiFi only, just for using it in the house. Can that be possible?

  • Right-to-work states info?

Now that Michigan became the 24th state to.become a RTW state, meaning you're no longer obligated to pay union dues and still keep your job.

For those of you who work and live in these states, do you also lose your benefits and pay raises or you can keep what you had under the union?

  • Does a house with a second floor that is for rent, required to have 2 exits?

My landlord is having problems with the couple who rent her second floor apartment. My landlord clearly said no smoking inside the apt, but they.do. they are supposed to pay her every 5th of the month But they're always late, usually 1 to 2 weeks late. And they always fight during the early morning hrs, 3, 4, 5 am. So now she wants them out. And when she, the landlord, Confronted them at 5am because of that fight upstairs, the lady fired back at the landlord saying if she throws them out, they'll report her for not having a second exit.

So now my landlord is scared because of a some sort of a fine against her. What can she do?

  • Unemployment benefits part time ?

Here's my story. I was working part time and full time. 60hrs/ week. I got layoff from my full time and still working my part time. When I was certifying my unemployment claim I claimed I was still "working" at my part time and got my claim denied. Once I contacted the office to report that problem, they took off that I "worked" and then I got paid. But the hotline still asks if I'm working. So now I put no "working". This is a stupid system and confusing. I've been working part-time for 11 yrs work 20 hrs at $18 . But that check wont cover living costs, that why I had two jobs!
