  • Moss for a humid hide?

I hear people mentioning using moss for a humid hide but I am not exactly sure what they are referring to and my local pet store doesn't seem to have anything like this, could someone give me a link showing what it is.I have a leopard gecko and have been using an extra thick layer of damp paper towels as that is what I am using as a substrate in the rest of the tank but I think moss would be much better at holding in the moisture.

  • Scratches on fish tank?

My local fish store has been doing some renovations and they were getting rid of a some old tank they weren't using,so I got a few for cheap but one of them an acrylic one has a small scratch on the front glass.

I am wondering if there is anyway to take it out or make it less noticeable,I can live with it if not but it's just kind of annoying because it is right on the middle of the front and since the tank is a bow front I can't turn it around so the scratch is at the back.

  • Bubble eye goldfish information.?

I just got my first goldfish,I am quite experienced with tropical fish and know all about cycling my tank and that goldfish need a good sized(20-30 gallon tank) for 1.

I would mostly like to know about decorating I know that I will have to be careful of his bubbles so is it best to leave the tank bare or can I add some decorations and if so what is best?

I also want to know if I can feed him anything other than goldfish flakes with my tropical fish I try to vary their diet can I do the same with him and what could I feed him.

Any other tips you have on care for my new fish would be great as well.

One of my female bettas has a lump on its side.I have fasted her for several days and fed her a pea but it doesn't seem any better, she is isolated in a breeding net for now and her bowels seem to be working alright. She doesn't seem to be suffering and can swim fine.I just wonder what it might be,possibly a tumor? and if it would be contagious or if there is any treatment.
