  • What is the level of math needed to graduate high school?

So I've began Algebra 2, but next year i'm going to be a senior- I'm homeschooled so it's all a little confusing to me :)

Will I be able to graduate after finishing Al 2? Or will I need to study Pre-Calc/Trig before graduation?

    Thanks guys.:)

  • Hi.... Atheists? I have something to say?

On behalf of the entire Christian community, I'd like to...wait for it...say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for the times you've been made to feel inferior, I'm sorry for the times youve been told you're going to burn in hell, I'm sorry for the times you've been judged/snubbed/rejected by the people who are supposed to be the most accepting. I'm sorry for the times you have been preached at, and for all you LGBTQ friends, I'm sorry for all of the antigay remarks you've no doubt heard! I'm sorry for it all. Now, can we all just be friends? c: let's eat candy and be happy. Sound good?

  • Why aren't gay men attracted to girls?

TRUST me, I do not mean this in an offensive or judgmental way. I'm just curious: gay guys, what is it about women specifically that fails to turn you on? As a bi girl, I can see that women are hella hard to figure out, we can be bitchy and moody, we can be self-centered...

    But...

    Dat assss! And....boobies! And...pussy! *drools.*

Haha sorry. I'm just curious- do you ever find anything attractive about a woman? And if not, is it a sort of revulsion you feel, or is it just a sort of indifference?

If I'm being an insensitive asshole then let me know. Never intended to offend anyone.

  • Hey guys, question(s) about faith?

I identify as Christian, because I believe in God and Jesus and prayer and an afterlife...But...

It seems like my faith isn't that strong. I read a lot of articles and books about Christianity, as well as atheism/other religions. I like to have a well-rounded view on things.

But it seems like my faith is so easily swayed! I can go from feeling loved by God and on the right track, to doubting and feeling like my faith is unraveling, in two seconds flat. I don't feel like my relationship with God is stable at all- in fact, it feels more similar to an angsty teenage relationship than anything else. I can be feeling happy in Him and then read an article by an atheist or Jewish person or anything like that, and instantly start questioning everything.

Sorry, long! But does anyone have any advice or suggestions? I'm not saying only Christians can comment. I'd like to hear everybody's view as long as you're kind and respectful :)

    Thanks y'all!

  • Help please...I'm scared of losing people I love?

I just can't imagine that everyone I love is going to eventually pass away. My grandma is getting older and it's scaring me to think that I will have to deal with losing her. I feel like moving out somewhere far away, so I don't have to hear about losing her and so it doesn't hurt as much. (I wouldn't do this, but still...) I even had the disturbing thought about finding some way to make sure I die before the rest of my family, so I don't have to deal with it.

Help? I just feel so alone..

    Thank you guys

  • Why are Christians afraid of atheists, and vice versa?

If you are rock solid in your beliefs, if you believe they are True, then why would it hurt to have some non-judgmental discussion between both "sides?"

  • Any Christians out there that support gay people?

    If:

    1) sin is a choice and can be avoided

    2) homosexuality is not a choice and can't be avoided (or, "fixed")

    3) homophobia is a choice and can be avoided

    4) then which is truly the sin?

Homophobes choose to treat others with disrespect and judge them. They bully gays, lesbians, bisexuals They are hateful and call names like "fag," "dyke," "lezbo" and say that they should be not allowed to marry. They treat them like abominations instead of humans. Some say that they should be put in a large fenced in area, or killed. Some have acted out in violence. The suicide rates are shockingly high among the LGBTQ community. Gay men are not allowed to give blood, become an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts, or even join the millitary.

If Jesus is on the side of the oppressed, the persecuted, the victims...then I believe it is time to open our eyes and see for ourselves just what side that is. And to ask ourselves if we are on it.

Thanks for listening to my rant. It'd be cool to hear your opinions. No hate speech please!

  • Freaking out...is this normal..?

So I was looking at my belly-button the other morning and I'm pretty sure I saw a gnome in it. He was sitting there, just chillin in my belly button, and the really weird thing was he was naked. So I was all embarrassed but I said "hey listen dude...you need to get out of here." But he just stuck his tongue out at me and stayed there.

He isn't leaving anytime soon, so I named him Jareld. He's kinda nice. We play poker together.

Anyway, is this normal? Also how much rent should I charge if he doesn't move out soon?

    Help appreciated.

  • Can a woman become a pastor?

Just curious on peoples' thoughts. I'm considering becoming a religious leader of some sort (in Christianity) but a female pastor seems...strange?

  • Night-time anxiety help?

I've struggled with anxiety as long as I can remember. I don't think it's outwardly apparent; it's more of an inward battle.

But lately, I just haven't been able to get to sleep until between 2 and 4 in the morning- every night since basically this spring. Ill just start drifting off, and then I'll have a super-anxious thought and I'll get woken up. Ill calm down again and ill be just about to fall asleep when boom, another anxiety attack. The pattern repeats until I get so tired I can't stay awake another minute, and I fall asleep...

Please help, it's 1:51 on a school night while I'm typing this. Im so tired of this. (figuratively and literally, haha.)

  • Is this an abusive relationship?

We've been going out two months now, he has a very mild form of autism. Sometimes he won't answer questions I ask him, and he has trouble being in large groups- however, those things I can handle. But he has a really bad temper that flares up seemingly out of nowhere. He gets jealous when I see my friends/family instead of him. Sometimes he'll get so pissed off and I have no clue what provokes it, and he'll take it all out on me. Today he said that he got mad enough at me that he wanted to "beat the **** out of me," because I was too tired to go to his house.

He'll play too rough, like he'll be tickling me but it'll get too hard and he won't stop when I tell him to. He really does not have any regard for what I say. Ive threatened to break up in the past but he won't listen to me or take me seriously. Do you think that he is abusive? I just can't tell and I don't know how to break up with him if I have to.

    Thank y'all :)
