Okay, I'll be 15 in a few weeks and have had my period for over two years now. I am very irregular and often skip a few months between periods. This also makes my periods VERY heavy and painful. I also have moderate to severe acne.

The only real concern I have is that if I'm on it for a while, will I have trouble becoming pregnant once I am ready to become pregnant?

I am not currently sexually active and plan on using the birth control for what I had listed above, however if I become sexually active it would be great to already be on the pill and not have to wait a bit for it to be in full effect. I'm not trying to cover up the fact that I want to have protected sex, I'm just sick of the heavy, painful, irregular periods and acne.

My friend is 17 years old, almost 18, she has a 10 month old and is currently 18 weeks preggo with baby #2. Their dad is not involved. I am only 14 years old, but I REALLY want to help her as she has it very rough. She wants the City Select stroller which would be $1100 total for everything (and she needs a good quality stroller as she uses it everyday), but she only gets about $100 a month of baby bonus for her son... she lives at her parents and they would charge buy everything for her and him. They would charge her if she had any way of getting money but she doesn't.

How can I be of help to her?

Is there any program in Ontario that could help her get some money?

Turning 14 soon, and I am DETERMINED to find a job ! I will work as many hours as they need me to (and I am allowed by-law). I babysit a lot but I want a "real" job with steady work. Please let me know who hires 14 years olds! I know Dairy Queen, McDonald's.. what about Little Caesars? Timmie's? Kelsey's (like on dishwasher duty or something)? Like I said I am determined to find a job so yeah :) My parents can't afford to just give me money so I need my own job!

Please don't say babysitting, paper route, etc... I am NOT interested in doing those things ANY longer! I am a mature young adult now and I DON'T need to do a job a baby could do!

My friend and I are watching a 5 month old and 12 month old overnight on Saturday. We have a crib with 4 height settings, and a playpen with a bassinet. Which do you think would be better for who? We're not sure how far (developmentally) the 5 month old is, we're guessing he would be on the second level (from the top) on the crib, and I don't feel safe putting him in the bassinet of the playpen.. The 12 month old would obviously be on the lowest setting for both crib and playpen.

So what do you think? They will both be getting up at night.

So, I got an iPhone a few weeks ago. I am with Rogers (plan, not pay as you go), and I have a texting plan so I have free browsing. However, with the iPhone, you need a data plan or internet connection? Can I use free browsing AS a data plan? Or is there a way I can make it so free browsing works (meaning I can use the internet without wireless) ? I'm confused :(

Just being who I am, I am VERY safety conscious when it comes to children, ESPECIALLY in car seats. My neighbour's have a three - almost four year old - who is on the larger side for his age. My guess would be 50, maybe closer to 55lbs. He is currently in a car seat that goes up to 40lbs harness, to be specific, a Cosco Scenera. Though this car seat is safe for children rear facing 5-30lbs, and in a harness forward facing until 40lbs, this is NOT safe for him. I know the safer option is to get a car seat that goes up to 65lbs (at least) forward facing, then on to a booster, but they are more "cheap" end - they would just rather get a booster seat and be done with it.

Personally, the safety of your child is worth the extra $$. He is clearly not ready to use the adult belt however. The car seat he is using is currently NOT installed correctly, and he isn't even buckled properly in it. They do up the chest clip (which is PLASTIC, CLEARLY not enough to hold a child - especially of his size - in there), and just say that the straps are too tight to do the crotch straps up. Have they even TRIED to loosen them? No. Are they probably too small even at the largest size? Probably.

Now, I am only fourteen years old. I have been in his life ever since he was a newborn. I care for him like I would care for my brother, or even my own son. I would really prefer to suggest to them a Graco Nautilus (about $200 here), Evenflo Generations65 (probably $100ish here), or other similar seat, and install it in their car properly, however I know their response already - its too expensive! We are in Canada, so its not like we can just find a decent seat on Amazon for a decent price and order it, since the law for car seat states it must have the "Canadian sticker" on it.

Suggestions what I can do? Sorry its so long, I had a lot to explain!

I am thinking about helping them find a GOOD 5pt harness/ booster for a decent price, around $100. Any suggestions on car seats? Any suggestions on a Canadian car seat website?

My brother's girlfriend lives in Newton, Mississippi and is moving up here next year. ALSO, what is required to be done with her 2 year old son? They are both American. She says there is a long list of stuff you have to do in order for her and her son to become a Canadian citizen.

Ok, the milk is frozen, how do I thaw it to put it in the bottle (its in the fridge now, but its frozen)? How do I make it room temperature? How do I get it into the bottle? And, how do I close up the cloth diaper? I put the poop in the toilet, right? I've never babysat a breastfed, cloth diapered baby before (only formula & disposable).

Please tell me, I'm watching him in a few hours.

I love the names Savannah "Hannie" Elisabeth and Thomas. What's a good middle name for Thomas? I don't want something "unique", just something that's nice and not over-populated. I also like the names Jesse and Olivia Lynn. Middle name ideas for Jesse? Opinions on these names?

I went for a babysitting interview today. I am babysitting them tomorrow for a trial run (she's trying all three of us candidates). The thing is, I am way more qualified, but now, her choice is the kids (who they like best). How do I make them LOVE me so I get the position? I have to help them with their homework, etc but I want it do be fun!! Let me know, I would really love this position as I really love these girls & need a more often position. :)

I babysit a 2 month old and I am wondering whether to go with a bouncer or a rocker.

A bouncer bounces (which I know he likes) but is smaller and I can't use it that long.

However a rocker rocks (which I don't know if he likes) and is a lot bigger so can be used longer.

Which one should I go with?? :D

My friend (17) has a baby boy who just turned 2 months yesterday. They come over a lot so I purchased a playpen and I was given a car seat. I feel bad though because he has NOTHING to do!! Nothing to play with.. or calm him down. I would like to purchase a bouncy seat because he is still small enough to fit and they are less than $10 at Value Village -- Cheap and sufficient! He also loves music so I would like to download some music or buy a music box. Anyways, I am not really sure what to purchase to calm him/ put to sleep AND to entertain.. Parents, I NEED your help!!

I am turning 13 in 19 days (Oct 14th!) -- I don't know what to ask for though! I have a laptop, phone, camera. For all of you who think I'm spoiled, I'm not, trust me. I have a pet rat (I know, I want to get him a friend(s), but he just doesn't do well with other rats), Elliot. But what do I want? MY OWN ROOM! But that can't happen. So I was thinking of either asking for a cage (Martin's R-695) -- The total comes to $200 -- or a sewing machine, which we don't have room for. Another thing I have been wanting is the iphone, ipod touch, or a Blackberry Pearl. Another choice is just to ask for money, though I would get less money than I would out of an item. I get $35-50 from my grandparents too though. (BTW I babysit to get my money) I want to be allowed on Kijiji again. I just don't know!!!! What do I want? What would YOU choose? Thank-you!

P.S. Please don't call me a brat because I get what I want for my birthday, as my parents haven't known what to get me since I turned 8, so I have been choosing since then!
