Looking for a job in the Chicago area. Would like to work for the feds. I'm having a hard time finding this info on their web site. I'm talking about general office, payroll, data entry, etc. Thank you!

So hard to find actual specific information on govt web site - sigh. Simple question, simple answers please. Also if anyone can tell me or describe to me the administrative and clerical (office) positions for the USPS, I would appreciate that. How about someone who enters in the payroll? Where do I find information about those kinds of positions?

Looking for something basic and also self-cleaning. I would like it to last a long time. It's time to replace the old stove, as my long time tenant, who didn't cook much, has moved out. It's pretty dirty and dated (the clock has hands on it) and I don't really want to have to clean it, I would rather just buy a new stove. It'll make the apartment look better too. Haven't bought a new stove in a long time, so not sure of what's out there that's good. What's worked well for you?

I applied to colleges in the 1970's - so very out-of-the-loop. Back then, anything over 21 was good, over 24, 25 very good. I understand this bar has been raised due to all the months of prep pre-testing and test-taking training - how much has this bar raised? What's good, very good, outstanding? Many, many years ago, when I was applying to colleges, there was a program called the Illinois State Scholarship - cash available upon request to anyone scoring 25 or better on the ACT. Does this still exist? If so, do you know how much money they provide now? If not, do you know when it was discontinued? Thank you in advance.

I need a new washing machine, looking to spend $500, want a top-loader, probably a Whirlpool. I am thinking the WhirlpoolWTW4850XQ. But I am open to hearing about all recent experiences. If you suggest a certain brand, please specify the model #. Also, I don't believe you get what you pay for when it comes to washer/dryers - that used to be the case, but sadly, they no longer make them like they used to. Thank you.

It's been stored well. Personally, I'm prefer whites, so I would like share this one, yet still get a taste. I'm also going to bring a bottle of Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut. Maybe only 3-4, 5 tops will be drinking this & no one is a big drinker. Thank you for any input, the more detail, the better!

I am now reading the 6th book - Definitely Dead.

(In order: Dead Until Dark; Living Dead in Dallas; Club Dead; Dead to the World; Dead as a Doornail; Definitely Dead; & All Together Dead.)

My question is this: I feel like there should be another book between Dead as a Doornail & Definitely Dead. All of a sudden the author is giving a lot of background info that seems to like it would have made for an entire book. Does anyone know if I skipped one? If I didn't, then does anyone else feel like me, like 'hey, what's going on here?' I mean, don't you think it would be a big deal to meet the vampire queen of Louisiana, but she only talks about it in retrospect now. I'm confused. Thanks for your help. PS. I am just loving these stories!
