I'm 17, I don't have any kind of identification (driver's license, credit/debit card, temporary ID, etc), I have never been caught committing a felony, or misdemeanor. I have a 16" bowie knife with a belt sheath, I was wondering if I am allowed to walk around anywhere outside of my house (other than businesses, obviously) with it in plain sight (not being concealed in any way)?

I really don't much care to finish it, and I thought it wasn't half bad, so I didn't want it to go to waste; I'd rather have someone use it rather than it just disappear...

--My mouth was dry. Cotton dry. I woke up with the night’s crust in my eyes, brain not functioning with my slate blank. When I moved there was an unhealthy creaking sound that accompanied motions, I had to relieve myself in various ways and I felt paralyzed, like someone was pushing down on my chest. The day… Or was it night, I couldn’t tell; hadn’t started out well. My head throbbed like masses of people writhing like serpents, there was a coppery taste in my mouth and my saliva was not forthcoming, I had to take a wicked piss and I had no clue where I was.

I felt like I was suspended in mid air, maybe that was the Sandman whispering in my ear to return to his embrace but it was far too late for that, my brain started chugging away, the steam blowing out of my ears as I reached my arms out to feel my surroundings and yet I found nothing. Suddenly a loud ringing noise filled my head, I wanted to scream out in pain but my voice was nowhere to be found. A sudden state of highly aware panic washed over me as I tried to thrash around, feeling more and more confined in what felt like an empty, open space.

Was this it? Was this hell? Was this where I would be spending the rest of my days? Thankfully no, because I soon gained passage to sweet waking reality, what had felt like hours in this thrashing, dark, panicky state was only in reality seconds of me flailing as I fell to the floor from my bed. I hoarsely laughed right after my impact with the soft carpeting. I righted myself, pushing up from the ground, cracking my spine as I did so. I still had cotton mouth, my heart was pounding and I had to take a REALLY bad piss. I hurried over to the latrine and relieved myself, a sigh of satisfaction as I did so. My mind slowly came into gear; it was wakeup time.

I was hungry, my stomach growled as I flushed. I knew what I craved, and I had plenty of it. Whatever time it was, it was now bacon time. I walked down the dark hallway of my house, to enter the living room. It was dark, almost pitch black. “Odd.” I thought to myself as I tried to peer through one of the windows, it was the start of the night. Had I slept for a day? Why wake up now? It was certainly an oddity. I made my way through total darkness towards the kitchen, when I entered I flicked on the light while shielding my eyes, slowly removing my hand to give them a minute to adjust. Everything was normal except the timing on the clock read 10:15. I had gotten to bed at a normal time, hadn’t meant to oversleep by twenty-four hours, which I had never done in the first place anyways…

The sound of sizzling, the smell of bacon cooking in the air while I stared at the pan, flipping the meat every once and a while, waiting for it to get finished cooking; a few minutes later I put the pieces of bacon on the plate alongside some eggs and toast. I poured myself a glass of OJ and headed over to the kitchen table, placing the plate and utensils down as I began to channel surf, picking up a strip of bacon and munching on it with a satisfactory sigh as I switched to CNN and watched the news. I ate my hearty breakfast then went and took care of the rest of my “morning” chores.

After cleaning up myself and the kitchen, I sat down in front of my computer, surfed the web for a little while and sat idly by as the hours passed me. My stomach was heavy and loudly complaining, was the bacon bad? Did I not cook the eggs long enough? I pondered these as I retched up into the toilet bowl, only to find that my meal was almost completely undigested, just chewed up, no bile, nothing else than some pureed eggs, toast and bacon. The sight of it made me want to puke again but I had nothing else to puke, so I sat by the toilet for a while just thinking. I walked over to the sink and washed up. I sat back down at the computer, surfed a while longer without pondering on my breakfast.

It was now Sunday, I had slept through Saturday, getting a fair amount of calls and texts. I responded to the texts but didn’t return the calls because I felt that 2:30 in the morning was an inappropriate time to be calling people up and talking about hanging out, etc… I figured I should wait until 12. I spent more idle hours before the tiredness hit me, I had been up for about six hours awake during the night, was active, and now I was getting tired as the sun was coming up. I was a bit disappointed with myself, but I decided to let myself drift off at the computer.

Sunday of the following week.

I had called in sick for a week from my job at the coffee shop, trying to reset my sleeping habits, trying to keep food down in my stomach. Well, I know why I can't, but I'll save my ranting for later. I guess I need the codecs for it, but I've been searching all over the web, and there seem to be like... I think I've found over 20 differently named, or described MPEG codecs. I have Winamp, WMP, WinDVD, DivX, Quicktime, and some other play, but with all of those, I only get the audio, no video. I'm learning to play bass guitar, and I've been completely self-taught up to this point, and my friend found me a really helpful bunch of videos, but I can't play them because I can't play almost any kind of video on any program I have!...

Like, if I want to listen to music through Slacker.com, are there any equalizers out there that could take the audio output, and enhance it like it would with an .mp3 being played through your media player?

I'm racking my freakin' brains over this thing! I found it on the internet a while ago, I don't remember at all how I found it; somewhere on Google Images search. It's some Hawaiian thing, and I'm pretty sure the name of it started with a "K". And No, it's not Kubutu, I just named it that because it was similar to the original name of the symbol.

That's not the original image. The original image was very small, and out of boredom, I shopped it a little, and made it alot bigger. But the symbol was white-ish, and the background was a light blue/teal.

I know this is a stupid question, but I just wanted to know if I would be able to get even like 5 FPS in game.

I'm not 100% pc savvy, but I'm not stupid. I know it would be slow if it were to play at all. So, back to my question, would it play? If so, at the lowest graphical settings, how would it run?

I have a presentation due tomorrow, so I seriously need help.

I don't have Microsoft Office, and I needed to do a powerpoint, so I got OpenOffice.org again, because it worked when I had to do a Microsoft Word thing. I have my presentation EXACTLY the way I want and need it for tomorrow. I didn't know what to save it as, and since my teacher's computer has Powerpoint, I didn't know if she could open it. I tried saving it as .ppt or something, whatver Powerpoint uses; but whenever I try it says something about it not going to save completely like it was being shown if saved in this format. I tried to save it anyway, and it say's it couldn't, write error. What does it mean? If I save it in .odp, will she be able to open it with Powerpoint '07? Like I Said, this is due tomorrow, and if I don't get it in, well, its 25% of my grade, I'll fail...

Is there such a thing? Because I want to use Cinema 4D, but when I try and install it, it says I need atleast 1GB of RAM, although I have almost 800MB. Or atleast some program that can say I have that much RAM... Well, I guess those would be the same thing...

Its about 350x285, how many frames could it have without having errors or anything? Because a guy was making one, something like 400x1000, and he said he couldn't get even like 150. Another guy said with 800x(something very small, I forget) should be able to handle hundreds of frames; for banners and stuff. Mines a bunch of shots from a popular unnamed music video that I'm gonna make into one picture!

Because I like making short videos and sending them like messages to my friends, but Youtube takes too long for any upload, and people are WAY too much of asses when its a stupid video; even when I say "NOT FOR YOUTUBE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON IT!". Just a site that I can embed a video from, but not exactly HAVE to show to others.

Not artistic wise, I think there is something wrong with the image itself.

For some reason, no matter what its on, it Alwayss seems to stop at the last frame. I set them all to 40milliseconds, but on like any page it stops. In Windows picture and fax viewer, it plays all the way through and NEVER stops. But on Myspace, it goes about 2 times, then completely stops on the 5th (last) frame.

What did I do wrong? Is there a way to do it "Wrong"?

Is it because its supposed to be a desktop image, and a very large one when opened all the way?

Because my XP license has 8 days left, and my dad ordered the Fedora 9 DVD. Not only do I have to do it, but it looks better than XP in most ways. I know there aren't many games and junk for Linux, but there has to be SOMETHING! I have Brawl, but I'm probably gonna get pretty damn bored just being able to use the internet and junk... What exactly is Fedora good for? What can it do?

I need to download it, Don't ask why, but I need to run Fedora instead of XP from now on; but I don't exactly know how. There are like 20 different downloads in the download section.

What do I download? Just say so if oyu ened to know any information about my laptop, or anything that you'd need to know.

To start, I've already e-mailed Sansa support, so don't tell me to go there and do that. I just wanted some closure seeing as it will probably take them like a week to help me, and I'll probably try and call the number like tomorrow or Sunday.

It started off when I couldn't get my damn laptop to recognize my Sansa e280 anymore. I've got it to see it before, but like 2/3 of the time it won't recognize it anyway. So I was just gonna restart, but I forgot to unplug the player, I restarted, then... Nothing. It won't turn on, it won't charge or anything. How can I find out if I have a warranty on it, or how long it is. Because I won it from a local Atlanta radio station, Project 9-6-1. So I have no real idea what to do, or what will happen to me, because I literally have like 10 dollars to my name, and I've become so used to always having music...

Its pronounced "fasahd", I know exactly what it means, but I ALWAYS forget how to spell it. I can't really think of any synonyms to find it. Like a front you put on. As such of the little white boys that go on online games and try and act black.

I believe that he (or they) exist. I just think its odd that it has been sighted in Washington and a body was just recently found in Georgia just TODAY. Near in Georgia where I live D=

Why is would it move around in such odd patterns, and to such different places? What do you think about it? If you do believe the human-ape link exists, then what do you think will happen when one is caught? I think (since it is obviously exclusive to North America) the American government will take it, study it to death, then probably say it died before they could get anything.

I have 2 laptops, one was going to get sold. One had a good and bad 39GB HD, (lots of bad crap on it) Radeon 7500 Graphics card, and 256 RAM. Other one had 32GB HD, 768 RAM, and ran off the motherboard for Graphics. We thought it would be easier to just swap the 768 RAM and 32GB HD to the one with the good graphics card, and sell the other one to the buyer. (Don't ask about the buyer, that's not directly what I'm asking about) Now it has the good RAM, the less but clean HD, and the good graphics. The good one now has not been used but for about a week and just for Yahoo! messenger. Now when I let it keep running while doing anything (Downloading, installing, searching, scanning) for a while it goes blue screen and restarting then going blue screen. Why? How do I fix it?

And The other laptop, it still has the HD with a bunch of crap on it that slows it to a crawl. If I go to My Computer then right click on the "Preload" or "C:\\", and click format, does it take away EVERYTHING? Like even the OS? what exactly does it take off?

Please help me soon, because I don't think my mom will like it if the laptop we're gonna sell has to be F disked by the buyer...
