re-occuring sore knee playing ice hockey?
It is only sore about 5-10 minutes into me stepping on the ice and skating, and the sore-ness does not go away until the next day. Everyday walking and activities don't affect it at all, it's just when I'm playing hockey that the soreness seems to pop-up. A friend recommended glucosamine? Anyone else have any recommendations (even if the recommendation is I stay off the ice for a month or more) or can anyone else back glucosamine from experience? I'm 24 years old by the way... thanks!!!
1 AnswerInjuries10 years agoSwitching from a right-shot to a left-shot in ice hockey?
Hi everybody,
I'm right handed, and grew up playing with a right shot stick (when I actually should have been playing with a left shot stick because the dominant hand goes on top). I played recreationally in the street and roller for my highschool which was once or twice a week.
5 years later and I hopped in a rec league and I'm wondering- Have any of you made the switch from a different handed stick? I know I should, especially having not touched a stick in 5 years this could be my only shot at making the switch- but it's been pretty uncomfortable the last two games (but not unbearable).
I'd love to hear some stories from any of you that have "made the switch" in your shot handedness to provide me with some motivation to keep working at my left shot- or to hear you say screw it, keep playing with what you know it's too late for you.
Thanks everybody!
7 AnswersHockey1 decade agoBreaking in a new car, vary your speed?
My question is, how bad would it be if I was on the freeway for roughly 50 one way (100 mi round trip) one day a week for a brand new car. I know it says vary your speed but I can't really find any info on how long is too long for being at a constant speed. If need be I could take some backroads but I will have to be on the freeway for probably around 20-30 miles. Mind you this is only one day a week but it still scares me! thanks!
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoI received a settlement check in the mail for a class action lawsuit?
It is a very tempting amount of money and I no longer work for the company. Could cashing the check in any way hinder my chances at working for the company again if I choose to?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoShould my cover letter, resume, and portfolio be combined into a single PDF?
So I have these three parts ready to go via email. But I was debating with some colleagues how they should be packaged. Some said to make each item separate and others said to combine them all into one PDF so it can be viewed page by page with a simple one-click download. What are your guys' opinions I am having a hard time finding people's opinions online through research.

Why don't magnetized timer's with LCD screens get ruined? Is there anything in between the magnet and the batteries/lcd screen to help prevent any issues? Or do batteries/magnets/lcd screens simply not have any issues working together? I have absolutely no background magnet knowledge other than positives and negatives attract haha thanks everybody.
1 AnswerEngineering1 decade agoRepublican, Democrat, or other?
Why do people carry these labels? It surprises me that more people aren't registered independent. It astounds me, reading the debates on here arguing back and forth between political parties. And the worst is the fwd emails in regards to clinton, bush, obama... It starts out funny, and then gets extremely far fetched... Does political party debates bother anyone else too? I'm young, maybe that's why you might argue, "because I don't care" or that "I will realize when I get older but please be respectful, thanks everybody!
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agobaseball and salary caps?
From a hockey fan's perspective, the mlb not having a salary cap sickens me. Seeing a-rod get paid more than half of any nhl team astounds me. I've been reading articles about it trying to find a convincing reason but it just seems like it will never happen because the lack of trust between owners and also players. But wouldn't it make for a much more exciting and competitive game where every team was on a competitive financial level? I don't know much about baseball though so I am not trying to bash it, would just like to know true baseball fans opinions.
3 AnswersBaseball1 decade agohow to apply bondo spot putty (1 part)?
What do you guys use to apply the 1 part bondo glazing spot putty? I know it's really bad to touch it but when I work on small projects it's hard to use any type of tool (that I know of at least.) I've tried using thin gloves but it just doesn't seem to be as efficient as my finger, especially for the small areas. I know it's terribly bad to contact bondo with your skin so thats why I am on here asking for your help! haha thanks

6 AnswersHockey1 decade agoI thought I had allergies?
I have been having allergies in the spring/summer time for the past 4 years, but when I moved to San Francisco they went away... which made sense to me because I live where it's usually foggy and not alot of flower life? But for the past 6 months, it's like I have allergies in SF now too... Even when I went to the snow for a week I still just constantly had a stuffy/runny nose. Any other reasons this could be? Zyrtec and Clariton dont do much anymore, and I have some nasal spray prescription and over the counter that don't seem to help either. Am not sick either. My honker is pretty big too if that helps!
1 AnswerAllergies1 decade ago2010 Subaru WRX Navigation System?
How come on subaru.com it only allows me to add a nav system to the PREMIUM WRX and not the regular version or limited version? Is this something that's only on the site or would it be the same at the dealerships? and why? I don't necesarilly want the premium wrx but I would get it for the nav system.
3 AnswersSubaru1 decade ago2010 Subaru WRX wagon vs. VW GTI?
So I'm preparing to buy a new car and I have narrowed it down to these two, and only these two! I've been researching and have noticed that this is a hot issue on all the forums. My conclusion... both are great cars (with their own flaws) for different people. I love the performance aspect of the WRX and the exterior body, but the raw interior is killing me... The other huge pro is the AWD, I go to tahoe in the winter about 5-7 times a year but live in the sunny bay area. The GTI seems like the easy winner with the only con in my mind being the performance and no AWD. Everytime I think I am set on the GTI, the AWD WRX pulls me in! Help me! I'm 23 years old and this is my first new car and plan on (hope to) have it for a while. I guess I'm just asking for your two cents on the subject! help me out! I ASKED THIS QUESTION WITH SUBARU AS THE SECTION AND GOT ONLY SUBARU ANSWERS, SO I THINK IT WAS SLIGHTLY BIASED, SO THIS TIME I AM PUTTING IT IN THE VW SECTION TO SEE WHAT YOU GUYS HAVE TO SAY!
7 AnswersVolkswagen1 decade agoWhat is the difference between the WRX, PREMIUM WRX, and LIMITED WRX?
I'm looking through them and can not see a difference. I wan't the navy with it, and for some reason the Premium is the only model that I can do it in, but I don't understand why. The limited has leather trim which I'd enjoy but I can't have the navy on it! I am so thrown off. I am "building" it on subaru's website just to get an idea, are your options not limited to what their website says for each specific model? Help me understand the difference between the three! THANK YOU!!!
