  • Was this a panic attack?

I was just laying around doing some summer homework to me when my dad came up to me and said something in a somewhat spiteful tone. It wasn't even a big deal, but I started crying and couldn't stop. I wasn't sobbing, tears were just pouring out. Then I started breathing really quickly and heavily and gasping for air and that wouldn't stop either. My face and hands got really tingly too. It lasted about 20 minutes and then I was able to tell myself to breathe slowly, calm down, and just pet my dog.

What I'm wondering is whether or not this was a panic attack. Nothing like it's ever happened to me before.

  • What kind of dress..?

Hey everyone. I need a dress soon for a formalish thing, and I was wondering what type of dress would best suit my body type. I'm short (5'2") and have long legs ( in proportion to my height) and a short-ish torso. I'm thin too. I was thinking one with a lower waistline (one right around my hips) but I don't know. Thanks!

  • What to wear a scarf with...?

So I have some scarves I wanna wear but I don't know what to wear them with. The first one is more of a fashionable scarf. Its a greyish blue short scarf that looks a little scrunchy because of crisscrossed elastic. It has little, thin tassels on the ends. The other one is a long, navy blue knit scarf with some white in the harm. I think it has strings on the ends, but I'm not certain. What should I wear these with?

  • Dog is suspicious of other dogs...?

I want my dog to be therapy dog certified. He's very calm in most situations and often goes to my grandpa's nursing home and visits the residents. I've read over the testing requirements and feel comfortable with all of the situations except for being approached by a 'neutral' dog.

For whatever reason, he has always been kind of suspicious of other dogs when he first meets them. If one walks past him on a walk he's fine, but when he is face to face with one, he gives a warning growl it seems. Once he realizes the dog isn't going to hurt me or him, he's completely fine with them, but that's not going to be okay in the test. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks.

  • Goose eggs on head won't go away...?

So I've had 2 goose eggs on my head for awhile. One happened about a year and a half ago when I was running inside in cleats and slipped and hit my head on the ground rules right where the skull starts to round and the other is from getting elbowed just above my eyebrow at cheer practice 6 months ago. Neither of them are visibly too noticeable ( you may be able to see the one above my eyebrow if you're looking for it) but when you just run a finger along them you can definitely feel them. Is this normal? If it's not normal, is it a bad thing? Thanks.

  • BBC's Pedigree Dogs Exposed...?

Have any of you guys seen it? I watched it last night and, while I found it really interesting, I am kind of skeptical. It seemed kind of one-sided and the shots of animals suffering seemed like propaganda to me. While it's heartbreaking to see, I'm wondering where all of the good breeders who care for all of their dogs are. Why weren't they interviewed? Fact is, the breeds are how they are today for a reason, and there's really no way we can get the dogs of the past back. Thoughts? The video is on YouTube if you want to watch it.

  • Possible spinal fracture...?

I have had back pain on a certain vertebrae in the curve of my lower back for awhile now. In cheer in caught a girl wrong (with my back arched) and ever since that I've had a dull but extreme pain. It hurts when I arch my back much either way and its pretty chronic. I feel some relief when I lay on my back so my spine is straighter, but that's mostly the only time. I have a doctors appointment scheduled, but I was wondering if this is possible a fracture f some kind, just to have a slight idea. Thanks(:

  • Which circus class should I join?

There is a youth circus school in my area and I just went to their summer performance and fell in love with it. I'm going to do a circus experience class before anything else, but I was wondering if I should do acrobatics, aerial technique, or contortion. I have experience with acrobatics and contortion as I was a dancer (basically my studio's acro test subject), but I've never done aerial. It intrigues me though. Any recommendations? Thanks.

  • Character name help...?

Okay, so, me being me, I generally have a lot of trouble coming up with story-lines, but I think I've finally come up with one I like. I don't want to say too much, because even I'm not 100% sure, but it's about this teenage girl living in modern day America and she's a siren (ya know, Greek/Roman mythology, femmes fatales with beautiful voices that lure sailors to their deaths). Since it will be fantasy, I'm going to change a few things up and make up a bit about sirens, but I really need a name for the main character. She's spunky, eccentric, determined, but also a little guarded and reserved. I like unique names, but not weird. Here are a few I like:

    -Forrest

    -Mara

    -Lorelei

    -Ellyson

    -Winter

    -Emilia

    -Aria

She comes from a musical family, so music-related names or singer names would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  • 2 9x9 brownie mixes, recipe calls for 9x13...?

Ok, so I'm making something that has brownies in it, and I got 2 boxes meant for a 9x9 pan, but the recipe says it needs a 9x13 box. My question is, what fraction of the second box should I use? Is it 4/9? I don't really feel like doing math. Thanks(:

    -Tally

    -Emmy

    -Avon

I like unique names, so if you have any ideas, share them please! Thanks(:

  • My charged Nikon Coolpix S4100 won't turn on...?

I charged my dead camera (Nikon Coolpix S4100) for about 45 minutes, which is usually how long it takes to charge, and when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. I charged it a bit longer and it still didn't turn on. Any ideas on what's wrong?

  • There's a hummingbird stuck on my porch (sorry if wrong category)...?

We have a screen porch and we took the door off for today (we are replacing it) and there is a hummingbird stuck in it. We have a hanging basket of flowers in our porch, so I thought maybe that was why it came in in the first place (I've never even seen a hummingbird around my house), and I put it outside the doorway. I took a broom and tried to prod it towards the door (I didn't touch it with the broom, no worries), but it would just fly away from the broom and then back to the screen. It clearly thinks it can go through the screen because it keeps flying around it and pecking at it. I know it will eventually figure it can just fly out, but I'm worried that it will do damage to itself. Does anyone know what I can do?

  • Headache around base of skull and hairline...?

Hi guys. I have a headache that is at the base of my skull and then goes around to my hairline. It feels kind of like I have a headband on that is much to tight for my head and it's really uncomfortable. These happen to me about every other day and taking a pain killer doesn't help much. Any ideas on what may be wrong and what I could do to stop it? It's not so much painful, but rather uncomfortable, and it seems to make my neck feel really stiff.

    Thanks.

  • How much would this approximately be (for painted turtle)...?

So, I am thinking about getting a painted turtle in the summer (yes, I do realize that they are a long term pet). I was just wondering how much you think this would all end up being (approx.)

    -Underwater filter or canister filter

    -2 thermometers (1 underwater, 1 above water)

    -Daytime heat bulb and fixture

    -Daytime UVA/UVB bulb and fixture

    -Underwater heater

    -gravel

    -turtle dock

    -branches and plants

-gravel vacuum (no way am I cleaning a 55 gallon tank all at once...)

I am getting the tank at Petco's next '$1 Per Gallon Sale'.

    And a few questions:

-Am I missing anything necessary (besides, ya know, the turtle, its turtle pellets, and insects)?

-Do I have anything unnecessary up there?

-Is a 55 gallon tank large enough?

-I read I should feed it insects or feeder fish at least every other day. How do I do this if the habitat is mainly aquatic (with just the turtle dock above the water)? Do I get dead insects, or what?

I think that's it. Thanks guys!

  • What's going on with me?

So, recently I lost 4 pounds in 2 days and ever since I've been obsessing over my weight. I check the scale at least 5 times a day and if I either gained weight or didn't lose any, I go for a 2 mile run then come back and weigh myself. I've also been cutting down on food intake (like...half of what I used to eat) and occasionally skipping a meal. I don't think I'm fat, but there is room for me to lose weight and I REALLY REALLY like losing weight. When I look at the scale and see a smaller number, it feels like I've triumphed over something. Is this bad? I've lost 7 lbs in 5 days.
