It seems all my girlfriends want to do when we get together any more is sit around compare who's man is the bigger jerk. I understand having normal relationship problems (had my fare share but am currently single) but this is every time we get together any more.

They tell all the terrible things their men say, do and how horribly they are treated. But none of them want to discuss a solution like leaving that man. It's just getting irritating, if they are in verbal/emotional abuse why just complain about it?

Every attempt I make to talk about a solution, they brush off. It's like they enjoy just complaining about it. Should I stop hanging out with them or try to be more supportive?

So I have been kind of coasting on life letting fate happen to me. I am ready to move on with my life now and be a better person. I think one of my biggest problems in life has been taking responsibility for myself, in successes and failures. Where is a good place to start? How do I go about this?

My mother-in-law had to go away (she owns the horses) my husband whom usually helps her with the horses took her to an urgent situation in another town. I am left with the horses, only 2 and they are pretty sweet.

But they left me with a list of only essential things I have to do and a vet number. I've helped my husband before with them but I'm nervous about being here alone with them. I am not an expert, what if something goes wrong? What should I do?

I keep hearing this term and I don't know what it means.

I look forward to his return I hope it's soon. My only reservation in this is for those who would be lost if he came back today. How do you feel, would you be happy if it was today?

Often I wonder this myself as I strive to live my life for God. It's so easy to get caught up in everyday worries and forget about my Father in heaven whom has all the answers to my problems. I know when it begins to happen because that's when I lose focus on what's important.

When I refocus on the Lord then things are suddenly clear and my worries are taken care of. So I am curious, is he Lord of your life? Do you consult him on a daily basis? What difference does it make in your life when you know God is in control?

I use to like horses but now I am scared of them because this guy (family friend) kept telling me they are huge dangerous animals that can harm you without notice. He told me all kinds of horror stories about people being trampled to death and stuff.

I understand safety around a horse but he made them sound so unpredictable and the look he gave me when he said this was chilling. He has horses and has had them all of his life and they are mostly nice (they let you pet them and take treats) but most of them are not ride-able and wouldn't even follow halter lead.

Are horses really scary and unpredictable? If not then why are my friend's horses this way? How do you learn to be confident around horses? I am especially scared of hoof picking because it's so close to their feet.

Usually involves a lot of the words of "self" and suggests that a person created God thus lifting the person above God. And that our minds are so powerful as to explain away all of God's works is in essence similar to the temptation in the original sin to want to be God or at least equal to God?

If the bible isn't true why do people keep doing exactly what it said they would do (according to the most commonly held interpretations of prophesy) thus fulfilling scripture?

Honest question all answers welcome. Would you support or be against a law that forbids sharing of beliefs in public places as in handing out of tracts in parks or street-preaching?

I am just curious if you had parents/guardians whom were nonbelievers?

I live with my Aunt and I understand it's her house but I can't do anything. I try to be responsible and I do clean up after myself and help out I also pay rent. She keeps the phone off the hook until after 4PM and I am only allowed 1 phone call per day. I can't get up before her in the morning or go to bed later than her. She monitors everything I do. What I eat, how much bath water I use.

I am not even allowed to leave my room until she is done with the morning chores which end at 11 or 12 noon. If I break her rules she gets angry, throws fits and threatens to hurt me. I lost my job and have no where else to go. I can't get a job with the phone off the hook all the time. What should I do? I honestly think she is doing all this on purpose to trap me here so I can't leave.

Any ideas on how to get out of here? I know the only reason she treats me like this is because she knows I am afraid of her and I have nowhere else to go. Please give me some ideas of what to do?

I took some time off working because I was stressed to the point of a health crisis. Now I need to go back but I am afraid that it will happen again. I have to work there isn't any other way. What are some things I can do to ensure I won't get overly stressed out again? What do you do that helps you?
