Hi! I'm watching the Olympic figure skating competition and was wondering: the announcers mentioned a few times athletes who were born in one country but now compete for another. One young lady is from the States but competes for Estonia. Her brother and sister compete for Japan. Another young skater from Japan competed for the USA in one Olympics and for Russia this one. How does this work / rules? Do they change their nationality? Thanks!

Hello! I was thinking of buying the Bowflex TreadClimber or the NordicTrack® X3 Incline Trainer - but both have had some negative reviews. I don't want to buy a problem-prone machine, but I feel I do best in my weightloss endeavour when I use a machine. I prefer a treadmill or elliptical type machine.

Can anyone recommend a dependable machine that is appropriate for home use and won't break the bank? I'm in Canada - so it would have to be available here. Thank you!

I'm feeling a little hurt, because I think he was a tad rude - but I also think I may be overreacting. Was he rude or am I being dramatic? I just came back from Burger King where I ordered two of the bk burger shots combo meals. On the drive through menu, there was a picture of the combo and the burger shots...it had a drink, fries and four little burger shots. When I finally got my order, I had two drinks, two fries and only four little burgers (two for each meal I suppose). I asked the guy in the window, and he said the combo only came with two burgers and didn't have an answer for the photo with four.

I was wondering, is it rude to kneel down to face level when meeting/greeting a little person? Or, is it better to stay standing at full height? Also, if you do kneel down, do you stay that way for a conversation? Or, do you kneel down later?

I just want to know what is the polite thing to do? There's a great new teacher at my school and she's a little person and I want to know the right way to greet and chat with her. Thanks!

This is a true to life problem. Last night, my mother was at a bridal shower and as the party went on and the beers were drunk, my mom was telling a funny story...and well, she lost control of her bladder. She peed :( She excused herself, went to the bathroom, was able to clean herself up again.

She's mortified because the other guests noticed, and there was a pee puddle on the dining room chair she was sitting in. No one said anything, but these are all co-workers and she's upset and thinking she'll have to quit now out of embarrassment.

So, my question is - what should my mom say if anyone asks her about it/makes fun of her? How should she act at work on Monday? Does this happen to others (embarrassing stuff in public). Please help my dear mom feel better!

A few days ago, a friend of a friend was in my neighborhood and stopped by my place because he was riding a bike and it was raining really hard. I don't even like this person that much, but I'm nice - so I drove him home and offered to look after the bike until the next day. I live in a very small apartment and didn't want his huge bicycle in my place too long. He never showed the next day, he called but kept on having to hang up after a minute (weird)...I got fed up. The bike is huge and in the way.

I don't want to see this person again, because I don't even like him at all at this point (annoying). Also, I've been invited to go camping today and I don't want to be stuck here waiting on a flaky person. So, I dropped the bike off at my across the hall neighbor's place with his number and I emailed him her number and info. She didn't seem to mind keeping the bike for today...and it made me feel better having it (and him) away from me because he's hard to take.

So, my question - did I do a wrong/bad/thing in leaving the bike with my trusted neighbor (she is very trustworthy)? He seems to treasure this bike - so will he pick it up today? (I don't want to impose on my neighbor *that* long). Thanks

for me, the relationship is done. Done. Done. Done. But, I am a wimp and afraid to hurt my boy-friend's feelings by breaking up with him in a harsh fashion. I was hoping that we could just drift apart, but he doesn't seem to be 'getting it'. LOL. We also had a conversation where I said the whole "we're in different places" thing, and I thought he understood, but I was wrong...lol.
