How to install Database Diagram Support in SQL Server 2008?
I'm managing a database server and am having a problem with students creating database diagrams. Here is the situation:
The students are in a windows users group for their class, and each class section has permissions to access management studio and create databases. The students have no issues creating or modifying their databases, but when they try to generate a database diagram, they receive the following error:
Database diagram support objects cannot be installed because this database does not have a valid owner. To continue, first use the Files page of the Database Properties dialog box or the ALTER AUTHORIZATION statement to set the database owner to a valid login, then add the database diagram support objects.
Setting the database owner to the sa account fixes the issue, but we can't be changing the owners on all our databases to the sa account every time someone needs to create a database diagram. Is there some permissions group I'm missing that allows the default database owner to be able to create database diagrams? I've tried the compatibility fixes too with no avail. These are native SQL 2008 databases just created a day or two ago,
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoRemote management of Antivirus programs?
I work in a lab and we are researching new anti-virus programs. One of the criteria we are looking into is remote management of clients not on our domain... as in being able to manage their agent from across the world from our management console. We are looking into Microsoft Forefront, Avira, Kaspersky, Vipre, Symantec, and Trend Micro. Anyone know if any of these can do that? Or any work-arounds or alternative anti-virus programs?

I have a LOT of extremely sticky residue from reflective tape to remove from hard plastic surfaces (about 45’ sq/ft). I tried Goo Gone Xtreme. It removed the gunk, but melted the plastic. Normal goo gone seems to work, but would take many, many hours. WD-40 doesn't seem to do anything, and automotive degreaser also seemed to damage the plastic more than help. I tried lighter fluid, windex, and normal automotive cleaners, all do nothing. What should I do?

I have a Sony HDR-CX7, and seems if you look at it wrong the memory card gets corrupted. Got an error message while recording; that may have been when it happened... anyway, this is the second time it’s happened, and I do not want to touch it this time until I know the best way to handle it. Last time all I could recover was some of the JPG files, and lost all our HD video files, this was also after I used Vistas "Scan and Fix" option, and had to scan the CHK files for anything left. I made sure to avoid that option this time around.
It was full of videos and images of my brother’s wedding yesterday, and if I cannot get anything back I may just trash this hunk of junk.
What is my best chance to recover both the AVCHD files as well as the JPG files? This camera uses an 8GB Sony Pro Duo memory stick that I'm trying to recover the files from, by the way.
