I have a 19 year old who is living in her own room, and it is a MESS. There are clothes and papers and stuff everywhere! It really hurts me to see a room in our house look this way.

I have tried everything to make her clean her room. I've grounded her, but she doesn't seem to mind staying at home at all! I've taken away her tv, computer, video games, cell phone and even books, but she seems to like sleeping better than all of those things! I've threatened to throw away everything on her floor, but she tells me that those things aren't that important anyway.

When I tell her she can't go out because her room is messy, she tells me that she will clean it later and goes out regardless. She doesn't even care if people see her room, because she says she doesn't care what people think of her.

I've even gone so far as to threaten to make her help pay for the rent of the house, and I even put notes on her door or on the refrigerator but she says that she didn't even notice they were there. When I tell her myself, she will always say she forgot I said that. When I told her she had to pay, she told me she didn't have any money, and what could I do then!

Nothing is working for me! She just doesn't care enough to clean her room. She says that she is comfortable in her room and acts so nonchalant about it. She jokes about her room! She's not afraid of anything, it seems!

She is usually busy at school or at work most of the time. She is a very responsible person outside of our house. She holds down a steady job, has great friends, gets the best grades in school, and has more talent in her little finger than I have in my whole body. Even in her messy room it seems like she knows exactly where everything is.

The only time she ever cleans her room is when our house is going to be inspected, but it always gets back to messy again.

What can I do???

My boyfriend is from Trinidad and when I go over his place, his mom is always trying to feed me food that she made. Usually I have to say that I am not hungry. I was dragged to celebrate Diwali with the whole family and there were so many kinds of food there and I tried them and didn't like ANYTHING. There was nothing that tasted even close to good to me. I feel like it tasted so bad that I was going to throw up.

After that I just felt really discouraged.. I don't know what to do. I've tried so much food from Trinidad and I don't like any of it. I don't like his mom's food at all and he also wants her to live with us when we move in together. What should I do? :(

I work at an Einstein Bagel place. It seems like no matter what time of day it is, there are only old people in the store every single day. All of them are mean and angry.

If any of you old people who come to Einsteins are reading this: Go away. You are annoying. No, I don't remember what you ordered yesterday. No, I will not clean up after you. No, I won't turn off the damn fans. It SAYS Decaf on the sign, so why don't you read. The bagels are expensive but you are rich so shut up and spend .60 cents extra for butter.

So why are bagels so attractive to rich, angry, old white people?

I got a flower(plastic) hairtie in india and it's heavily perfumed. I like the smell but it is waaay too strong. How can I get the smell out?
