I work as a landscape designer in Arizona. In college, my majors were Fine Art and English. I draw nearly every workday, sketching realistic versions of my designs. Recently began to travel state-wide photographing the beauty and variety of Arizona"s landscape.
is the universe shaped like an expanding balloon?
And..is all the matter in the universe contained within the thickness of this expanding balloon?
If so, then when we look out into the universe to the first galaxies are we only looking across the balloon's thickness?
Can we know the "true" diameter of the universe?

Doesn't this clash with the law of thermodynamics? Where is this additional energy (that increases the speed of galaxies) supposed to come from?
If you say "dark energy"; then how do you explain how matter, entering the universe, adding mass and thereby creating angular momentum; can actually "add" speed, when angular momentum should actually decrease it?

In college, our paper printed a story about a non-profit club that invested unspent funds so they could have more money for the next years senior dance.
The club's student adviser was eventually fired over this. (Non-profits must spend all their money during the same year the money was raised. Profits cannot be "rolled over" or they are no longer a non-profit.)
In this case the administration did not step in to censor our story. Other administrators, on other campuses, might have.

It swears at my parents when they come to visit me. Nobody else, just my parents.
