  • Dungeons and Dragons -- Roleplaying, Haram/Halal -- opinions?

This question is mainly for the Muslims of our community.

Now I absolutely know it's a waste of time. I know it's wrong, it's full of polytheism (which I believe is entirely fake)... but it's a game, right? I know they have things that attribute the attributes of Allah to false deities, such as (astaghfarullah) the creator of the elves, etc. But at the end of the day, you're not believing them. This goes for any game, whether it has shirk, kufr or anything in it: if it's not stopping you from Allah's path, is it haram? Of course, I know it's a waste of time -- you don't have to tell me that twice. I don't know why, but I've tried to stop touching these games on more occasions than you'll imagine, I just keep getting pushed back. I want an answer; what do you guys think about it?

  • Muslim Point of View: Role-playing a relationship in a game.?

I play a game in which I play a female character (I am a guy in real life). The other person plays a male character, and they're sort of in a relationship. I'm not sure about the gender of the other person. They're quite affectionate; but we do nothing past kiss emotes or whatever. Perhaps I enjoy it, but it is not in a sexual manner. I simply regard it as "fun". I, in no way, like the player. No chance. I have no sexual feelings towards the player or their character. It's all fun.

A thought keeps bothering me. Am I gay for doing this? Will Allah punish me? What do you guys think? Please help me, it's been bothering me. I need to stop if it's haram (because I believe being gay is haram).

  • Becoming a Football (Soccer) Coach. What can I do to start at a young age?

I'm currently 15 and I'm very interested in Football (Soccer). I know a lot about the sport; I'm interested in it and I do play it (and I'm currently decent at it). I don't really want to become professional; I'm more interested in coaching a team. What, at my young age of 15, could I actually do to gain young experience etc? Any other tips would be so helpful. I promise a best answer (if the answer is actually helpful).

  • IGCSE Chemistry - Various Chemistry Quetions. (No misconceptions please, this is important.)?

Okay, I've been checking the Yahoo answers pages and many other pages. I mainly have problem with the Half Ionic equations. The book I'm using, the: "Edexcel IGCSE Chemistry" book off 2011 says that you write NaCl like this:

    At the Cathode: Na^+1(I) + e- (arrow) Na (I)

    At the anode: 2Cl- (I) (arrow) Cl2(g) + 2e-

I've been seeing things on many websites, such as:

    2K + 2e- ----> 2K.

    2Cl- - 2e- -----> Cl2

I don't understand why my book puts the arrow after the Cl and then adds an electron, rather than subtracting it from the original Cl like in the second example?

Also, I've been having trouble with the forumlas, such as:

    Metal + Acid = Salt + Hydrogen.

My teacher said there were 6 rules? Or how many exactly are they, and what are they?

Another problem I have is working out the Molecular forumlae out of the empirical forumlae?

Also, how do you figure out the oxygen percentage within a compound? (As in, the percentage composition.) Am I right to say, for example, H3PO4, you do this:

    (1x3)+(1x31)+(4x16) = 98.

    3x1/(divided by) 98x100 = 3%?

Sorry for this being so long, but I'm really in need of these answers.

How do you figure out concentration?

    What are its units, also?

Lastly, I'm really having trouble with Exothermic and Endothermic reactions. #1:

How do you know it's Endothermic or Exothermic? (By looking at its energy levels, how would you tell?)

And how would you draw the diagrams?

Sorry for the long read, I promise best answer to the best answer and thank you for all the help!

  • I got injured a while back ... (read more)?

Well here's how it goes :

I was playing sports a while back and I fell on both my knees, and after going to the doctor he told me a tore a few ligaments. Well, I rested. Took some painkillers, and went back to Soccer ( was playing indoor at the time on wooden floors)

Well I was fine in training, then we had a match and I didnt feel a thing I was running and sprinting, didnt hurt.

When i got home I still didnt feel anything but the next day I began to limp, and the pain on my knees was unbearable..

Is this a sign of my Injury back or is it just a little tiredness?...

Okay so I've been playing football and now I've bruised 4 toenails. Is it dangerous to keep playing on? (I don't mind it, it dosen't hurt unless I provoke the pain) Should I see the Doctor or shall I just continue playing?

  • I want to play football....!!!?

Firstly the owner of this account is my big brother, therefore I am not DarkAerial.

    Okay so the drill is...

I've been wanting to join a football club since I was 6 (now 13)

And my parents will never let me. They tell me 'Okay' but the morning they're going to sign me up they suddenly become busy or too tired (ironic eh?) I'm too young and when I've tried to sign up to a Youth team they tell me I need my parents. I'm getting slightly old to live my dream and my parents just won't let me. What should I do?
