I left school at 16 with a couple of GCSE's and no qualifications. I started work in a dept. store and progressed to the building trade, where I met up with a mater carpenter who showed me the trades, which included carpentry, plumbing, plastering electrics and roofing. I also picked up decorating skills along the way. I have completed two major extensions last year for myself and got the lead from a retired architect, who passed away just before xmas. Now, I have no leads or even contacts as I have just recently moved to London and I have been out of work for three months now, and it is driving me mad. I have no source of income and I don't know anybody where I am. I am down to my last £500 and no prospects. I have looked for work in job centres etc.

I don't drive and I have no qualifications as such, just 25 years experience in the building trade.

Has anyone got any ideas how I can make money by either working or re-training for free? I am very willing to work and want to work, but don't know where to start. I can't advertise as I can't afford the fees! Please HELP!!!!

i cannot print on my hp D1660 deskjet and i don't know how to fix it. It used to work but i did a factory reset on my pc and now it won't work. I have looked on the internet for HP D1660 drivers, but they don't seem to exist any more. I am running windows 7/ vista. Can anyone help. Thanks

when i try to defrag it keeps getting stuck on 84%. is there a problem and can i do anything to sort it out?

i have just made contact with my daughter via face book. I have no idea on what i'm doing and just fumbling around on the site like a blithering gimp. How can i chat to her where she types and then i type and hold down some sort of conversation. I am with yahoo, so can i tell her to register with yahoo and chat?

What's IM and how does that work?

i'm looking for a plastic moulding that has a sort of "z" section on it. I will try and describe the section like this,- if you were to get a piece of paper and fold it an inch along the length then fold it again aboue an inch and a half then fold it again about an inch. when you look at it head on, all folds are either horizontal or verticle. there are 2 right angles in it. it may sound complex but it isn't.

Does anyone know where i may find such a moulding or has anyone got any ideas how i may explain it better?

i'm running windows vista and have just got hold of a film that i''ve been after for ages. I put the disc into the laptop and all i get is the picture with no problems except i cannot get any sound from the pc. Both sounds on the pc and on windows media player are turned up tto themax and still no sounds? can any one help me?

I have had a boiler installed yesterday by a friend. the central heating works fine but there is no hot water. there is water coming from the hot tap, but it is cold! The pressure to the boiler is 1.5 bar, all of the fitting has been done in accordance to the manual, but Still no hot water. when the heating starts, the fan kicks in and then fires up as it should, but when hot water is called for, the fan does not even start, can anyone explain why? I am desperate for hot water, HELP!!

The boiler is a "heat line Vizo 24" condensing boiler.

when I browse the net, does EVERYTHING get recorded ? I want to erase all of my browsing history, but the very top box [ i think its called the address bar,] when i push or click on the arrow, it tells me [ or anyone else] what sites i have been on and then tells me all of my favourite sites! even when i am in "private browsing" session! how can i prevent this from happening as my G/F is a computer buff and keeps tags on me?. [Nothing pervy, but presents for my kids etc]

i have an emachines e625 laptop and i cannot move the cursor,i have done a factory reset, but the touch pad on the laptop does not do a dicky bird and is very frustrating. i plugged a usb mouse and was able to move the cursor, but when the usb mouse was removed the cursor would not move at all. can anyone tell me why this has happened and how i can fix it free, as i am totally broke and rely on my lap top to keep in touch with my 5 kids! please help!

i cant move the cursor and the screen has frozen. i have started it in safe mode but still cant do anything with it! how can i restore it to its' original state, (complete reset to when i purchased it). the lap top is not even a year old and is running on windows 7 and windows vista home basic.

I have got a laptop "emachines E625" and it is driving me mad. I have anti virus on it, more protection than a double durex and yet my pc is really, really slow. I've got glary, cc leaner, AVg and avast, windows defender, windows essentials, spybot S+D etc. But why is it like a slug with broken legs carrying 500 dead snails. Is there any free programmes that I can get to configure any conflicting programmes or trouble shooter? Or even, can I get some sort of FREE remote assistance, if so Where?

Please Help I am nearly in a mental state of having a breakdown.

every time i go to my home page,a facebook tab appears with m homepage tab. how can i stop this from happening, it's driving me nuts!

i'm running a windows vista basic and i am trying [very hard] to add a printer [epsom stylusphoto 870]. when I plug the usb cable. it does all of its' scans etc and tells me that the printer is ready to print, buy when I try to print, nothing happes at all! Why is this happening and what can I do to overcome this problem?

on my old pc, i could access word and works [all microsoft] for free, now if i want to use word or works, i have to subscribe. i am running windows vista basic, so how do i get to write letters and do typing. i also want to be able to print spreadsheets, create invoices and create headed invoices, but i am a bit thick when it comes to computers!

IS there anywhere to get these programmes for free?
