My 4 month old kitten slept almost all day yesterday. We thought it was because it was the first time in awhile that we ve been home all day, and he is usually much calmer when we are around. Last evening I picked him up and noticed he smelled off. Not bad, just a different scent than I m used to. He was playing with our other kitten last night. We also trimmed his nails, but he never indicated it hurt or anything. This morning we noticed he won t walk on his paw or use it for anything. He can barely walk and he can t jump. We can t see anything obviously wrong with it but if we touch it too long he cries and pulls away. I don t know if he s sick or injured, my husband has had a cold all last week and now I m sick too. My kitten is still sleepy and lethargic and he barely ate anything last night and this morning. I stayed home from work to keep an eye on him and he s been sleeping all morning. He keeps shaking really bad too. We are new pet owners and this is the first time we ve dealt with this. My question is, at what point do we take him to the vet? Money is tight and I don t want to overreact, but if he s hurting or sick I don t want to wait too long and let him suffer. I can tell just by looking at him that things are not right, he has this sad look in his eyes. He s usually very energetic and this is not like him at all. Usually he wakes us up in the morning to be fed but today he didn t move until my husband cracked open the food can.

I am in my 20s. The whole retirement 41k, IRA, all of that confuses me. I don't understand it at all and I need to start learning. Can anyone recommend a good book for idiots like me?

I have a yucca tree in my apartment. It is in a pot about 2 feet wide and a foot deep. A few days ago I noticed it was turning brown. Yesterday I looked and the dirt was filled with little white crawly bugs about an inch long. We sprayed the surface really good with insecticide and dragged it out onto our balcony to keep the bugs from spreading. Today I looked at it and there are dead bugs all over the surface, but more live ones crawling up from deep down. They are obviously eating the roots deep down in the pot. I would really like to save my tree, but how do I kill the bugs and how do I get it deep enough to wipe them all out?

How do you feel you've been courageous lately? Faced your fears? Done something you wouldn't normally do? How? It can be something big and life changing or small and in the moment, I just want to hear your stories :)

The past few days whenever I turn on my computer once the desktop comes up and is loading everything I keep getting a box that comes up as if I had opened a program. It is an empty white box with the typical "windows program opened" screen around it (the one with the exit and minimize icons as well as the name of the program). All it says is for the program name is "DSD_3380 not responding" and I can exit right out of this. I do not recognize the logo and I did a search through my computer for DSD_3380 and found no results. I then googled it and found nothing to explain what it may be. Does anyone know? Thanks

I am currently planning my wedding/honeymoon for next May. We will be traveling out of the country. I do not currently have a passport, but I need to get one. How does that work with my name changing? If I get one in my current name it won't match my new name, is it possible to get a passport that will have my new name on it before I actually get married and change my name?

my hard drive crashed. so I had to get a new one and reinstall everything. after 5 hours of installing updates and programs my computer found 107 new updates. I went to install them. When my computer restarted it turned back on and went into the configuring updates screen. It would say 'configuring, stage 3 of 3 0%' and stay there for awhile. then it would shut down and go right back to this screen. after about 20 minutes of off and on I started to get the 'welcome' screen before it would shut off. I ended up having to run a startup repair to get it fixed and it reset my computer back to before the updates. But now I can't update it because I don't know which one was the problem. So I was wondering if anyone else had that same problem and if you know which update it was so I can not install that one. I'm running Vista. thanks
