I am saved. (spirit) I am being saved. (soul) I shall yet be saved. (body) I was chosen in Christ, before the foundation of the world to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus. The times and the boundaries of my habitable life here on this planet were chosen by God my father, so that I would come to know Him. I now know Jesus as my Lord and savior and I am reborn with the nature of Jesus Christ as my own new nature; My identity is now: Jesus lives in me and my old life and nature is dead and buried. I have the mind of Christ. I am now being conformed to the image of the living God which is changing me from the inside out. As my soul is transfigured it will eventually transfigure my physical body, incorruptible and immortal. I was in heaven. I am now here for my time on earth. I am going back to the Father.

  • What would cause a NiMh battery?

to make a 'clicking' noise when it gets charged? It is being charged in a brand new Tenergy Universal Smart Charger. Any ideas out there? Ever heard of that?

  • Christians, How many Apostles are there in the New Testament?

Jesus picked twelve. Judas killed himself and then the others gambled and chose the thirteenth. Paul claims that he was an Apostle; that is fourteen. Apostleship is one of the five ministries set in the church, how many more got named to that group? Please show scriptures to support your answer. Religious traditions and histories hold no weight here. Only the scriptures, please.

Also, what is the ministry of an Apostle and are the five ministries of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, all still valid today? Why do the majority of churches have only one guy doing everything? Thanks, everyone!

  • Can anyone give a single scripture?

... that says angels have wings?

I can find where it speaks of cherubim having wings, but those do not count because scripture does not ever call them angels.

Seraphim are never called angels, either. But they are called 'fiery flying serpents'!! Go figure, eh?

Archangels don't have wings either, do they? Michael is called an arche-aggelos in Jude 1:9 and 1 Th 4:16 says that Jesus has the voice of the archangel when he descends with a shout ... but no mention of wings.

Jesus is the exact image and representation of the father and the name, Michael, means 'one who is like God'; does that mean Jesus is Michael the arche-aggelos. The one who is like God and is his first, chief and principle messenger, still does not have wings, though.

Does God have feathers? (Ps 17:8; 36:7; 61:4; 63:7; 91:4) And let us not forget the Spirit of God descending as a dove!

No, I am not nor have I ever considered the teachings of the JW's. I was raised Roman Catholic, but then I got saved and now I am a 'Berean' at heart who questions everything. Please, if you respond use scripture and not empty religious doctrines, wives tales, fables or hearsay.

    Thanks!

  • I want to buy a laptop and need to know ...?

how much memory do I need (all the different kinds); what are different kinds of processor chips for; and what things do I need to consider for screen sizes; and do all laptops grab wi-fi equally well?

It will be for home use, mostly. My wife and I are about to retire and will be using it for home, i-net, no games, some photos and documents. Oh, and we just got the Netflix thing for watching shows.

I know this is pretty basic info for the younger generation, but I don't do a lot with computers and sure could use the help before I spend the money.

Thanks for any and all info.

  • What are your opinions of Christian Bible Study apps ...?

I recently bought an i-Pad and I have been sifting through the myriad of bible study apps.

I would like to know if anyone has downloaded and used any of these apps and what they think of them in terms of true bible studying.

    What other features are included;

    How much did it cost;

Can you work offline with the app!!

    etc.

I have always used a KJV (because it is what Strong's concordance uses) and various other bible versions along with several other dictionaries and commentaries. I am having a difficult time finding even a simple app with the KJV and an interactive Strong's concordance.

I am interested in your informed comments about the good and the bad regarding the i-pad apps.

Blessings to all you who labor in the Word, whether in books or in electronic media!

  • Is there a drill chuck made to hold a # 57 drill bit?

I bought a complete set of numbered drills, but the higher numbered drill bits are too small to fit in any of my chucks. I think a pin vise would grip it but then I would not be able to drill to the depth I need.

I need to drill a #57 hole through one wall of an 1/8" black pipe nipple to make a propane gas orifice for a burner in a forge.

Any thoughts on how to chuck-up this small bit?

    Thanks

  • If 'the battle is o’er and the victory is won', why then, do we need?

to fight the good fight of faith and put on the armor of God?

What battle is it that we still need to fight, and why? Is there anything that we are able to sufficiently do apart from Christ that would last throughout eternity?

And do these things that we DO have anything to do with salvation, since there is nothing we can DO to earn our salvation? What would these things be and why would we need to do them?

    Please use scriptural references.

    Blessings to all who answer!

  • How do you pronounce HOSNI?

Years ago everyone, including the TV National News people, pronounced HOSNI (MUBARAK) with a short 'O' sound, like the 'O' in hospital. Now it seems like those in the news are now pronouncing his name with a Long 'O' like the 'O' in hose! Is it an intentional American insult Like the Bush presidents pronouncing Sadam as, SAD'm or the Texan low brow use of I-raq & I-ran? I'm just wondering if people are trying to say it wrong on purpose or is it the correct way to pronounce HOSNI?

  • Christians; Did God lose the vast majority of the human race?

It has been estimated that there have been about 160 billion people who have lived and died from Adam until now. Of that, about only 5 Billion of these people have been believers in Jesus Christ. If God starts out with 160 Billion people and loses 155 billion of them to eternal torture, how can we say that God is victorious?

  • Do atheists understand that Religion and SPIRITuality should be non-issues with them?

Atheists seem to protest too much for those proclaiming God does not exist. Shouldn't they ignore those who do believe in God?

I think it is odd that they don't have their own group; do they want Fellowship?

Are they jealous of us because we have a purpose (God) and they don't?

It seems like they are always bitter and angry. At what?!!

I think we bring definition to their beliefs. Since all things find definition in their opposites, it rankles them that the very thing they deny is what gives them meaning?

  • Would you rather have guns or gold when the world economy falls into chaos?

Many prominent preachers, encourage people to buy gold. They think that there is going to be a world-wide economic collapse. For some reason, they believe that will help get you through it, while everyone else starves in the streets.

I know it is all mixed up in their convoluted beliefs about the so-called rapture, but just putting that aside, is there some better solution if such an economic dilemma occurs?

  • Somebody had to be Judas! Was that fair of God to have Judas fry like an egg in the fires of hell forever?

Paul throughout his writings consistently reminded us that (Romans 9:16) our election depends NOT UPON OUR WILL, but the MERCY of God!

God kept hardening Pharaoh's heart and then He killed him in Red Sea! Some choice he had, huh?

Judas was prophesied of in the Psalms - so somebody had to be him! That really sucks, eh?

  • Is our will more powerful than God's will? If He is ALL powerful; that leaves no room for our willfulness, eh?

Why would God, any god, place a higher importance on man’s freedom than He would on the purpose and will for why He created them in the first place? Such a God would have to be a sadistic one knowing that He was creating people for not just destruction, but according to the traditional view, eternal destruction!

  • What would you think of a man who satisfied his thirst for revenge as the church teaches God does with hell?

How is eternal, infinite hell a just recompense for finite temporal sins? Explain that too.

Hans Kung (1928 - ? ) is a Catholic priest, an eminent Swiss theologian, and a prolific author asked the question this way, “What would we think of a human being who satisfied his thirst for revenge as the church depicts God does with an eternal hell”?

There’s simply no rational way to answer that!

Explain to me how this shows for the moral goodness of God.
