  • What can be a cause of random, short-term body pains?

For years, I will get random bursts of stabbing pain in various parts of my body. For instance, I may be just walking, not doing anything strenuous when I'll get stabbing pain in my ankle for no reason. This happens in many other parts of my body: my knee, my eye, my head, etc. The pain may last for a few minutes or a few hours. What could cause something like that?

  • Where can I find Christmas lights in August?

My friend's wedding is FRIDAY, as in two days from now. She is supposed to be decorating with white Christmas lights (the little, twinkle kind), but the person who was supposed to loan them to her has flaked out. So, we need Christmas lights FAST. Any idea of what stores would sell them this time of year? Thanks in advance!

  • Summer camp counselor - need some easy hairtsyles?

I'm going to be helping out at a kids camp this summer and I need some ideas for easy hairstyles that will look at least moderately cute and keep my hair out of my face. I'm 21 and have wavy/somewhat curly hair that is past my shoulders and tends to frizz a little.

  • Have you ever thought this?

Okay, the more I've been thinking, the more sense it makes that our bodies are made to take care of themselves. They fight off disease, tell us when we need sleep...they even tell us when to reposition our foot if the cirulation is restricted (think about your foot falling asleep)! So, why wouldn't they know how much food we need?

Doesn't it make sense to just eat when you're hungry and stop eating before stuffing yourself? Obviously, you'd have to make good food choices, but still...just eat when your body asks for nourishment. I mean, the reason people diet is to get a certain body shape. But, each person is different and what might be healthy for one person may not be for another. Wouldn't it just be better to listen to what our bodies are telling us rather than painstakingly counting calories and feeling guilty about every little thing we eat?

I just wonder why people put themselves through so much when we're made to be healthy just by listening to our bodies.

  • Why don't people understand the basics of being healthy?

Everyone wants some magical way to lose weight without having to eat healthy foods or exercise? Counting calories isn't good; dieting isn't good; just sitting around isn't good. A healthy, balanced person eats when they're hungry, stops when they're not and is physically active. Why can't people just listen to their bodies and live by these principles?

And why is everyone so focused on being skinny? Why can't they just try to be healthy?

And why are people TRYING to be anorexic? I understand anorexia is a legitimate disorder and I do understand how it happens. But, it seems like a lot of these preteens are just wanting to have a disorder for attention or something. What's the deal?

  • Aching bones all over...my mom wonders if it's Lyme disease?

Several weeks ago I developed a rash after visiting Pennsylvania. The rash has faded, but it did look like some of the Lyme disease rashes that I looked up online - the non-bulls-eye type.

Also, for about a week now, I've been feeling crummy...achey all over - even in the bones under my teeth and my cheekbones. It started a week ago Sunday when I had crazy headaches all day long. I truly experienced about 5 different types of headaches throughout the day. I've had headaches nearly every day (I rarely get headaches) and have had to take Tylenol once a day for days (I rarely take medication of any kind). I've had a low-grade fever (99.2F) a couple of times, have felt just...tired a lot.

The aches aren't constant; they come and go and are worse at night. Like, today, I went most of the day without anything, but my cheekbones and face just started hurting all of a sudden at around 7:30 pm.

My question is this: could this possibly be Lyme disease? The rash I had started to fade a couple of days ago. Does this happen with Lyme disease or does the rash stay?

  • What's the best way to lose weight without counting calories?

I've recently realized that keeping track of calories is not good for me. I become obsessive and could easily see myself going down the path to anorexia. So, what methods have you guys used to lose weight without keeping track of calories?

Note: I exercise between for between 300 and 500 minutes per week (3-5 days a week, 100 minutes of walking/jogging/biking). I'm trying to lose 51 pounds total. I've already lost 26; just 25 more to go.

  • "Calling You" by Blue October - explicit lyrics?

I love the song "Calling You" by Blue October and was going to download it from iTunes. But, they have a version on there marked EXPLICIT. What are the lyrics to this version? I honestly just want to know because I don't understand how it's even possible for the song to be made inappropriate. Thanks.

  • Removing sugar cookie cutouts from baking stone? HELP!?

I'm baking sugar cookie cut outs and I don't know how to remove them from the baking stone without decapitating all of them! The few that I've removed have smushed. Anyone know a better way to do this? I've let them cool for a few minutes. Should they cool longer?
