So I have this essay prompt "Americans have always believed that individual effort can triumph over circumstances." We read a part of "hills like white elephants" and it was the part where the guy was pressuring the girl to do something she didn't want to. So the topic is more on self-centeredness than individualism. please I need ideas of examples of people trying to influence for their own benefit. Any ideas on individualism too will be appreciated. Okay, my Internet connection is good and working on every other device. It's even working on my notebook but then my browsers are not working.Like if I'm on google chrome, the page opens right but when I enter an address, it says unable to access the network. I've tried everything possible and I don't know what to do about it. Even my Internet explorer says the same. I know it's not the connection that's the problem because its working just fine on my sisters laptop.

If 1 degree Celsius is 33.8 degree Fahrenheit, why is 25 degree Celsius = 77 degrees Fahrenheit instead of 845 ( gotten from multiplying 25 By 33.8)? Curious

Okay, so I'm not really sure if I want to be a surgeon but then, that's the only thing I see myself doing maybe cause I don't really know other professions that much. So even if I want to be a surgeon I think I might be going the wrong path.

I was thinking of medical schools sometime, and then I was researching and I read that most medical schools in the US hardly accept international students; like none have been accepted in the past three years( I'm currently a freshman at a private university in US and international) and even if they do, there is no financial aid and stuff, so I decided I'd consider going to other countries for med school, but then their systems are different. Like they don't have to do undergrad and then they go to med school and then spend about 6 years, which means I'd be basically spending more years and more money because the fees here is already killing.

I don't know if I should just go to another country and go to med school or if I should finish my undergrad? I don't even know if I'm making the right choice wanting to be a surgeon? I don't want to make any mistake that will jeopardize my future. I don't even know how to really explain myself, I'm really confused and depressed already, I don't even know what to do ;( I don't know how the medical schools else where works, if I have to write MCAT or any other exam. I don't know if I'm wasting my time and money doing undergrad( I don't want to). I want to know how to plan for this, not just schooling without knowing where I'm headed. Hope you understand this problem and can give me any ideas or information or help or something I could know to feel better. Thanks in advance.

Okay, I'm an international student at a private University in Texas. I know medical schools in the U.S hardly accept international students, so I'm considering a medical school in either Canada or India. The fees in this school is already so high, even with the scholarship I was given.I'm looking to see if any very good medical schools in those countries give scholarships or if their fees are okay, and also if they accept international students. I need to know so i can know what to do with my life for undergrad, seriously tired of searching ;( Anyone has any ideas? PS: I'm a freshman until after the fall semester.

I'm a Christian and I love God and Jesus but I don't seem to like Church. I don't think Church brings out the best in me and I feel I'm a better human not going. Is it a wrong thinking or I'm I going to be guilty for it?

Or anywhere close. I just want to find out if its strictly done in some specific areas because I really want to put my sister or scare tactics! Also, is there any space for submission of request.
