Self proclaimed (professionally) king of multimedia, optimization and related stuff... I know the **** out of computer yet I don't really like them... Mm, I love music too, oldies/classic rock...I play too... Oh yea, I love explaining stuff, don't ask me why but I just like it, I might be a teacher someday but I don't really like discipline and big crowds so I guess thats why I like to post answers here once in awhile!

  • Could 3D TVs send exclusive content to different users?

Since 3D TVs (bundled with glasses and/or other necessary accessories) can essentially send different images to different eyes, could it be possible to make them send the same image to both eyes of the same user (no 3D), but another image to another user (with glasses)? This means two people could watch the same TV at the same time, but not the same show. Of course, the audio would need to be listened through earphones for one of the two. But it would also mean you could play games with friends (1 other) without the usual split-screen. My question is, would it be possible with today's hardware? Or are they (the glasses) only made to alternate from one eye to the other?

  • What's more aggravating, tech support or missing contact info?

Context/situation: You've just bought an electronic device from a major Japanese electronic company. You have a couple of questions about it and of course, it's not something that can be found on their forums.

What is more aggravating, the fact that the "technical support" (chat, email) is either incompetent or forced to go through the usual "stupid proof" steps such as "is your device plugged correctly?" and "have you tried to press the on switch?". Or the fact that most companies now will not give you the contact info on how to speak with someone who actually gives a damn?

I mean I can't be the only one who sees this as a major issue, I understand that they should filter the dummies who don't understand how to setup a TV correctly, or cannot understand that buying a computer doesn't automatically gives you access to the internet, but what about consumers who are smart and just want to ask a few legit questions on usage? Are they forced to seek the information and loose countless hours searching the net, knowing that a simple 5 minutes call to a technician would give the answer? I miss the days where you could go to a store and expect the salesman to know something about what they sell, not just remembering specs.
