  • Wireless Internet Connection Problems with Router?

I have a Netware WG111T USB router on my fairly new eMachine (got it around a 6 months to a year ago) and it's running Vista.

About a week or two ago I couldn't get onto web pages anymore, Yahoo stopped connecting, and pretty much everything that usually connects to the internet just fine stopped out of the blue (I hadn't made any changes to my PC the day prior). The only two programs that still connect are WinAmp (in which I am using the browser right now) and the new AIM (6.0, I believe), both of which I figured out on accident and have no clue as to how they're connected.

I can ping my IP to both external IP addresses and website URLs, but Firefox and Internet Explorer still just sit there with their white screens, as if the page is going to load (even the progress bar on FireFox gets to about half and then stops). I don't get any "Cannot connect to the page" errors or anything.

    Pleeease someone help me!

  • URI Schemes for Yahoo Messenger?

Is there a way for you to set up a URI Scheme that opens up the "Send SMS" prompt on Y!Messenger? If so, I'd be greatly in the debt of the person who posts it. Thank you.

  • Song from A Flash Game?

Does anyone know what song the obviously looped intro in this game is from? The game can be found at http://www.andkon.com/arcade/sport/billiards/

It was made by AXIFER Web Design, but they don't have credits on the website or in the game. Please help!

  • Who has changed your life?

Have you ever had one person come into your life (and the lives of your friends) who just kind of turned everyone on their ear and made people look at themselves from a different point of view?

I'd say I have a pretty tight knit group of friends, but about 2 or 3 months ago, one of our friends brought this girl into the group who didn't live in our city prior and moved here for school. Since she's been here, I've found out more about not only myself, but about the people who I thought I could know nothing more about. It all plays like a movie when I really think about it, I just wanted to know if I was the only person this has ever happened to...

  • A Question for Religionists?

Could anyone ever accept that our idea of god is merely traced back to the worshiping of the Sun in pagan times, and is completely based on the Zodiac? Could you accept that almost every "Son of God" has the same story (born on the 25th of December to a virgin mother, three kings followed the north star, died, and then in three days was resurrected) is and is carbon copied through the ages?

Furthermore, do you think that our society could live with themselves knowing that there isn't a higher power dictating what their next move should be?

  • Weird Dream I Had, There Was A Squirrel?

So the other night I had this dream where I was sitting right here at my computer and outside my window (which was directly to the right of me, not behind my desk where it should be) there was a Squirrel. I made friends with the squirrel and over a couple days we'd talk and stuff..

One day I invited him in, and he sat on the window sill/corner of my desk. Then I tried rubbing his neck (kind of like in a massaging motion) and he freaked and basically took my room hostage... I was locked out for days, frightened of this little squirrel.

Then it was Christmas and my older brother dropped my guitar and made a hole in the floor of my room that was a portal to a room at my old house.

    Anything symbolic of this?

  • Has anyone heard of the band "Battles"?

And if so, what is the best way to describe them using ONLY fantasy references, bunny rabbits, chainsaws, and Jell-O.

  • Why does any online friendship seem to fail if the person lives a state away?

I have online friends from all over Wisconsin who I have talked to for years and years, but every single friendship that I ever made with anyone (be they through Yahoo, LJ, or MySpace) outside of this great dairy state seems to deteriorate in a month or sooner.

Oh, also, keep in mind that I never see the Wisconsinites, so they don't have an advantage over the others or anything.

  • What would you choose if you were entombed?

If you were entombed in, oh, an ancient pyramid let's say, and could still see what was going on around you, would you rather have:

    a. complete and total darkness,

    OR

    b. only a wall clock in front of you, ticking away for eternity

  • World of Warcraft or something else?

Can somebody please give me a good enough reason to start playing again? I mean, it's thirty dollars that I barely have right now, and I'm thinking about buying another card... but at the same time, thirty dollars can get you alot of other stuff... like penny candy.
