  • how do you colour your doodles?

Hand drawn, hand coloured doodles only. Not interested in computer software stuff. I have used marker pens, coloured pencils, watercolour paints, etc. I was wondering if there was anything else out there I could use.

    Thanks.

  • confused about dog booster injections?

My one year old dog is due for her booster injections, but I am confused by conflicting information regarding just how necessary these injections are. Most people say its just a money making thing for vets, some say that initial vaccinations stay in dogs system for longer than we think, and yet others say that (quite dramatically) that dogs will die without the boosters! So.....can anyone help? I want to be a responsible dog owner, but I don't want to fill my dog up with chemicals that (allegedly) work against the dogs system *sigh* Sometimes the internet can be TOO informative!

  • what is your favourite paper crafting blog?

I am looking for some new inspiration (read: eye candy!) all about paper crafting, mixed media, etc. I'm not so much into fabric crafts right now, just paper. If you have a favourite colourful mixed media blog that focuses on paper-crafts, let me know! Its a gloomy morning here, and i need some new colour!

  • how to search my family tree for free (UK only)?

I am starting to research my family tree, starting with grandparents (all deceased). I would like to know if there are any free sites that can give me information. I don't want to sign up my bank details or sign up for a long standing subscription (that sneakily takes money off you to "allow me to continue my search uninterrupted") This is for UK only - I don't have any relatives in America.

  • What gadget would you give up if.....?

Ok, say energy was cut to the whole world, due to some crisis, and the government demanded that you give up your techno gadgets (because they aint really necessary, and we need to save electricity). So what gadget would you give up to save the world?

  • ideas for transporting a puppy on a train for 3 hours?

We are going to be spending 3+ hours on a train with an 8 week old puppy. I am really worried about it being a pest to other passengers, or even doing the toilet on the train. Its a straight through journey with no breaks, so I really need some (sensible) advice on how to cope with this! Thanks in advance.

  • what is your favourite breed of dog and why?

I'm asking this because we are looking for a Border Terrier pup, and I was just curious to see what other people thought about their favourite dog, and why.

  • Can a disabled member of the Royal Family be heir to the throne?

I just wondered this because we have laws that promote anti-discrimination, and anti-oppression, and also promote the rights of people with learning difficulties, or physically disabled. I just wondered if this would allow the UK to be ruled by a King or Queen with such difficulties - especially since they religiously intolerant. They don't allow Catholics to be in the Royal Family (because Catholics answer to the Pope, not the Queen) So I just wondered if they would actually allow someone with life difficulties rule the country, or would it pass to the next "perfect" heir?

  • Wearing religious Jewellry in School - allowed?

Ok, so this was in todays news http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7529694.stm

Now its a story about a Sikh girl wearing a Sikh bracelet at a school which forbids jewellry (for the sake of equality). The girl was excluded, but won her appeal in the High court to be allowed to wear the bracelet in school, since its for religious reasons. She removes it for physical education, metalwork, and cooking - for health and safety reasons, but basically she explains it symbolises a "handcuff" to God and reminds her to be good and not be bad. Fair enough. But to me - the school is trying to operate an equality system here which attempts not to discriminate or oppress, or have people stand out as being different because of the jewellry that they wear. So what she is basically saying to that is "stuff you, I AM different, I AM special, and therefore I should be allowed to wear what I choose to because I'm religious" So she can't remember to be good when she takes the bangle off to do metalwork?

  • Interesting things to do in the rain?

It would appear that the rain is set to continue for the whole weekend - and I will hate staying inside the house for all that time, so can anyone suggest interesting things to do in the rain? And I don't mean shopping or the cinema - be inventive, people!!!

  • why is it only the poor folk get hit hardest by rising costs in fuel and food?

Its not fair that people on low incomes are asked to fork out the same cost that richer people have to pay. Poorer people have enough to cope with without having all this worry about rising costs everywhere they turn, perhaps cutting back on even the essentials. I think the richer people should help out, in my opinion.

  • Who wants my junk?

I'm kidding, of course - but I am having a serious organising frenzy in my room just now. I have so much stuff that I don't need. Thing is....I know I can give clothes to charity shops and maybe nick nacks, but what about the misc stuff? Y'know, the *used* stuff? Like half used drawing pads, pencils, paints, bits of fabric. This stuff is too good to throw out for rubbish, but not good enough for Ebay, or charity shops. What can I do with it? I want it out of my room because its just *clutter*. I need space - my room is TINY! lol

  • Has anyone bought the Nintendo WiiFit?

I just love my WiiFit! I have had it 5 days now, and already brought down my BMI and WiiFit age. I was wondering just how you use yours? Mainly for fun, or as a training tool for keeping fit? Do you have a regular time to do it, or do you just mess about with it when in the mood for a game?

I use try and use mine each morning before breakfast.

  • Our son is making our lives a misery.?

Ok, here it is: He's 19 and refuses to have any part in the family. He barely speaks to us, hates his sister, doesn't tell us when he's going out or when he'll be back. He comes and goes as he likes and wakes everyone up with his noise, refuses to pay any money to the household finances (even though he works) but uses and eats everything in sight. Its causing no end of problems and I see no point in him being here because its all negative. The only postive thing is that he isn't using drugs/drinking/getting into trouble with the police.

But its like living with a rude arrogant disrespectful stranger.

  • Whats the best healthy dry food snack to take out with me in a tupperware box?

I have seen things like Trail Mix, and dried fruit, but both of these are high in fat and sugar, which defeats the purpose of "healthy". I was told that too much of these can have a laxative effect too! Is there anything I can make myself?
