  • How do I find the best deals on San Diego Zoo and Six Flags Magic Mountain for 5 people?

I know that not everyone is paying the outrageous prices shown on their respective websites. My wife and I hope to spend a day at each with the 3 kids along with the Aquarium of the Pacific. This will be the first family vacation we've taken in a while and I don't want to break the bank. Any suggestions?

  • What car would you buy?

My goal is to buy a car in 1 year. I have a family of 5 and it is starting to outgrow my 04 Sonata and I like some of the larger sedans out there. I love the look of the 2012 Taurus, almost luxury like but sporty too. The newer Buicks are also very attractive. I would like to buy a car that is made in America but I understand that many of the foreign makes are built here. I have liked earlier Camrys but the newer ones aren't especially inspiring although its miles per gallon are.

I expect to be in the $25K to $32K range when all is said and done. What cars should I have my eye on for the next year?

  • Can I replace a 2004 Sonata 2.4L engine with the 2.7L engine of same year?

My engine needs to be replaced and for some reason the 2.7 liter engine of the same year runs nearly half as much as the 2.4 liter no matter where I look. Is it possible to use the 2.7 of the same model and year and would any modifications need to occur for this to work?

  • Any AT&T Prem Techs, how do I apply?

I want to work for AT&T as a Premises Technician in their UVerse department. They have recently begun offering service in my town in a small area which is slowly expanding so I know they will need new installers. I have been told that they hire exclusively online and have found the AT&T careers page but can't find a page that allows you to fill out an application or submit a resume. Any Prem Techs out there who can shed some light? Thanks

  • Can the PS3 output digital audio(through HDMI or optical) and analog audio (through RCAs) at the same time?

I need to be able to play the audio in both zone 1 and zone 2 out of a 2 zone receiver but the 2 zone receivers require analog audio for zone 2 because they only have 1 digital to analog converter. All standard DVD players or Blu-Ray players will do both analog and digital audio at the same time but I am having no luck with the PS3. Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the PS3 or what settings it requires? Thanks.

  • Problem if I mount a TV on the wall with the electrical sub panel behind it on the outside of the wall?

My customer has an electrical sub-panel mounted on the outside of the house right where, on the inside of the house, a 52" LCD TV will be mounted. Will there be a problem with interference? The components will be about 3-4 feet lower in a cabinet.

  • How long can a 5 year contract be enforced through auto-renewal?

I have had an alarm system installed for 13 years on a 5 year contract. I am moving and don't want the alarm system at my new business location because I have been generally unhappy with the service. The alarm company tells me that the auto-renewed contract isn't up for 2 more years because I didn't disconnect within a certain window. I fail to see how the auto-renewal is enforceable. I did fulfill the terms of the original contract. Can I be expected to pay even though they are providing me no service and they already have the equipment back?

  • Uncertainty. Intriguing but is it necessary?

I am not schooled in physics but as explained to me the uncertainty principle means that we can never know exactly the velocity and location of a particle. The greater effort we expend in trying to observe something the greater we affect it.

Can this be countered by perspective. If a particle is observed equally from every angle can the effect of the observation be negated?

This idea came to me as I was thinking about the exchange of ideas and how sharing our own perspective or gaining someone elses perspective can dramatically change thought.

Remember I am not a mathmetician so don't beat me up to badly.

  • Is there a device that lets you switch between 3 Laptops monitor outputs to a large screen.?

3 laptops will be connected to a DLP Projection TV with VGA in. I will need to be able to switch between them to display each at different times. Ideally the device would switch the audio feeds as well. Any ideas?

  • Hey Earth, what is your favorite control-A/V distribution system?

A-la Netstreams, Colorado V-Net, Control 4, Lifeware or others. Not really interested in Crestron or AMX as my market isn't really that kind of market.

  • What was the movie where a girl pretended to have a broken leg on the ski slopes to get out of skiing?

Or maybe she had a broken leg but pretended it was from skiing This would have been 80s-early 90s I think. She pretended that she was a skier but she really didn't know how. It was a romance.

  • How do I market to home and business builders in my town?

What method of correspondence (calls, letters, showing up in person) will get me noticed. As a new low voltage integrator ( security, home theater, structured wiring and central vac) the housing crunch has hurt business and I am trying to get the word out. Any ideas will be helpful.
