The makeup on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.?
It probably isn't as hard to make a person appear much older because of the use of makeup and appliances. However, it must be extremely difficult to make a person appear much younger. I could not get over how young they made Cait Blanchett look. Her skin was flawless and looked like a very young girl. How did they do that? Brad looked pretty good getting younger than he really is but I was astounded by how they made Cait look. What's the secret?
1 AnswerMakeup1 decade agoAm I the only one that thinks that the models advertising mascara are wearing false lashes? ?
It just seems to me like they look like false lashes. If they are, then they should advertise lashes instead of mascara.
26 AnswersMakeup1 decade agoLooking for an old Max Factor mascara?
I used to use a Max Factor mascara that was waterproof and had an applicator that had a brush on one side, a comb on the other side and a tiny little comb on the end that you could use on your lower lashes. I used that mascara exclusively for about 15 yrs. and then I think it was discontinued. Does anyone remember this product and know if there is anywhere that it can be purchased or maybe a waterproof mascara with that type of applicator?

4 AnswersMartial Arts1 decade agoAnybody had sciatic nerve problems?
I have been having sciatic nerve pain for 5 days now. I probably did exactly the wrong thing when I first got it. I walked a couple of miles thinking I might "walk it out"....I didn't and then that night I slept on a heating pad which felt pretty good but didn't seem to help. I probably should have done ice. If you have had this problem and gotten over it, I have 2 questions for you. How long did it last and what did you do to make it well?

5 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoPampas grass questions.... I have a pampas grass plant that is in it's 2nd. year in my garden.?
It is healthy looking and has grown a lot but has never had any plumes. How old or big does a plant have to be in order to have those pretty plumes? Also, I have pulled up about 6 little plants that "look like" pampas grass and were coming up a few feet from the big plant. Can pampas grass multiply that way? It could be just weeds that look a lot like pampas grass.
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow did historians date time before Christ? Did they have to go back and affix dates after Jesus' birth?
I know there was recorded history many years before Christ. How were those records dated? Did the people who wrote them put a date on them or was it just according to who was reigning at the time?
14 AnswersHistory1 decade agoGopher trouble?
I have been having a terrible time with gophers damaging both my yard and plants and I'm wondering if turning the leaves of my Oleander plant into the soil might help me get rid of them. I have planted castor beans but can't see that they have deterred them in the least. I have been reading about how toxic the Oleander is and I do have one, so I'm wondering if digging it into the soil might help. I don't want to poison any animals and although I've had this plant for probably 3 yrs. without any incidents, I'm fearful that some cat, dog or child might ingest part of it and from everything I'm reading, it is highly toxic and shouldn't even be touched.
4 AnswersOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoGetting cheap leather to not smell so strong?
My elderly mother bought a cheap patchwork car coat from Ebay. It fits her well and as I say was a good price but the odor is so strong that we are having to ask her to keep her door closed and we are burning candles in the rest of the house to mask the odor. It is a patchwork of leather pieces and supposed to be lambskin. The best I can describe it is that is smells like mothballs. My husband says it is smells like a combination of mothballs and sewer. Will the scent lighten up in time? Can we use something to make this offensive scent go away? I have always liked the "leather smell' but this is obviously a case of getting too much of a good thing. Help!!!

I have noticed that Oprah has several different hairstyles. They are all pretty but what I'm wondering is if they are wigs or hairpieces that her own hair is combed in with. Sometimes I think I notice a different color or texture in the front than in the rest of the hair. What do you think?

Am I the only one that thinks that Kathleen Turner may have a speech impediment? I'm not talking about her "husky" sounding voice. I have read several articles about her and it never mentions that she has a speech problem. What do you think?
7 AnswersMovies1 decade agoWhere can I get seeds to grow the Blackie Sweet Potato that will bloom?
In the summer of 2005 I bought a Blackie Sweet Potato in a 4 " pot and found out that as it matured, it bloomed beautiful morning glory looking blooms in a beautiful lilac. I tried to winter over some pieces last winter but they didn't make it. In the summer of 2006 I noticed that I had some Blackie plants coming up "volunteer" so I knew that those blooms must have produced seed. I have one nice plant that I could try to winter over again but I would like to find a place where I could get the seed to plant to make sure that I have Blackies that bloom next year. They are beautiful.
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHas anyone ever had a "Blackie" sweet potato to bloom?
I have bought the "Blackie" sweet potato for several years because of it's beautiful folliage. Last year I noticed some lavender blooms and I thought a morning glory vine had gotten into my "Blackie". I started to pull it out and on closer examination, I noticed that the blooms were all attached to the "Blackie". It bloomed all summer long and even reseeded itself and I had volunteer plants come up this year. No one that I have spoken to has ever had a "Blackie" that bloomed. I just wondered if anyone else has ever had this experience.
