i recently purchased an aquapod aquarium, and am 3 days into the cycling process. i have 8lbs of live rock and 20lbs of live sand. the filtration system is on, but i took out the carbon. also, i am using old filter material given to me by a friend, hoping it would help with the cycling process. i have been testing my water daily however, the ammonia level does not seem to rise, nor does the nitrite or nitrate levels. what should i do?

i just purchased an aquapod a few days ago. i do not have a heater in the tank, because i was told by the person who sold it to me that the lights were hot enough to heat the tank. however, the temperature slowly but surely is rising beyond the ideal 78-80 degrees. i am planning on building a reef tank, so turning off the light would not be an option. i do not want to get a chiller. are there any other options?

i am new to saltwater aquariums, but had experience with freshwater fish. i am not sure on how to cycle a tank. understand there are many options like using fish. since i live right by the beach, would i be able to go down there, pick up a hermit crab, and use that for the cycling process. also, if i decide to put in live rock and live sand during the cycling process, would that kill the life in the rock and sand as well? also would adding the product "Cycle" reduce the duration for it to cycle? any info is greatly appreciated. thanks!

i will be getting a 12 gallon aquapod, and wasnt sure of what kind of equipment i needed to get that isn't included with it. thermometer? skimmer? and what kind of livestock am i able to keep? would i be able to put a clown fish and an anemone?

I have been with my boyfirend for about a year now, and he constantly watches adult videos. I believe we have a strong relationship, but i find it dissapointing that he is watching these videos. He never lies to me about watching them. He tells me it's just a HABIT. I'm not sure what the reasons are for his behavior. Is it normal for a man to watch adult videos while in a relationship?
