I have been promoted to a new position at work. I have been moved to the corporate office and happen to have a glass cubical located dead smack in the center of my division’s floor. Literally anyone that walks in or out of the room or needs to go to a printer, will walk past my workstation and see what is in there. I had to compete with a LOT of my coworkers for this position so I don’t doubt that Office Politics will rule and every little thing I do will be scrutinized.

Perception is everything so I am trying to make my work space look as professional as possible.

In the corner I have a small bookshelf that most of my coworkers seem to fill with 3 ring binders, and clutter. I would like to fill it with some rather impressive books. Like: “7 Habits of Highly Effective people”, and “How to Win Friends & Influence People”. Can anyone recommend other books?

I am looking for non-fiction that is relevant to a professional office work environment.

There are some games i have on my Galaxy III that i wouldn't mind also playing on my PC

Rage of Bahamut is probably the best one i wouldn't mind doing on a PC but there are a few others.

Are there any Android emulators out there that allow Game/apps to be used on a PC?

Why does my cat go on the carpet?

I have 2 cats: 1 boy, 1 girl. Both are the same age (the only 2 in the litter) and I got them very young but both are about 2 years old now.

Both cats have been very good all their lives about going in their letterbox. But for some reason the male has recently started going on the carpet in a specific room of the house. (I know it’s the male because I have caught him doing it). It is only that 1 room, and even seems to be in roughly the same spots each time.

At first I thought perhaps the other cat was in the litter box so when he needed to go. So I got a second but the problem continues. I also doubt it is due to illness as this has been going on for about 3 months now, and he only goes in a certain room in roughly the same stop each time.

Any ideas why he may be suddenly doing this or how to stop it?

I want to make a short training video for my work on how to use MS Excel to fill out some standardized reports.

My goal is to make a youtube style video that can be emailed to them (or at least a link emailed to them) that they can view at their leisure, and will walk them through filling out a copy of the report in excel.

To do this what i need is some kind of software that will record what i see on he screen. Much like taking a screen shot takes a stationary picture, but instead i want to capture all the movement, clicks, and actions... Almost like i am holding a video camera aimed at the monitor...

I have to believe there is something out there that will do that.

Free ware, Shareware, opensoucre stuff would be nice, but I would be willing to pay. As long as teh program is easy to use/learn is what is most important.

Column A has a list of dates.

I would like B1 to show how many of those dates are are a 1st quarter date

B2 show 2nd quarter dates

ect...

Basically i need a CountIf statement that will give a total of how many dates in Column A fall between 1/1/11 and 3/30/11

I have had differing opinions on this card.

Blood Moon states: "Nonbasic Lands are Mountains"

Some have told me this simply changes their subtype to mountain but text of the card remains. For example: a card that taps for any color mana (like City of Brass), still taps for any color mana. The only change is that non-basic lands are now affected by cards that target Mountains (like Siege of Towers) or cards that benefit from Mountains (like creatures with mountain walk) may now benefit from those altered non-basic lands as well.

Others have told me that non-basic lands literally become Basic Mountains in every way. They loose their name, they loose any effects/triggers, they loose their original text and instead tap for 1 red mana... Essentially they are to be treated as if a Basic Mountain card in on the battlefield for as long as Blood Moon is in play.

Which is it? Do non-basic lands like City of Brass, or Teetering Peaks still retain the text? Or are they treated as a Basic Mountain and only tap for 1 red mana?

I have a VERY long international flight ahead of me. Luckily I own a portable DVD player and some new DVDs i have been itching to watch. My problem is that some of my colleagues that have made this trip already mentioned that American movies often "disappear" during baggage checks. So rather then take the Originals on the trip I was wondering if there is any decent freeware that I can use to copy a DVD I own to a blank DVD disk that i can take instead?

Basically i just want to make a copy of my original this way if a disk gets "lost" I don't have to go out a buy an all new DVD.

I am creating a Supply order sheet for my company. It is being made in excel so each item will auto calculate the price based on the price of 1 unit * the number of units, the calculate the total at the bottom, and do so in a fashion that is easily printable to 1 page.

Here is the problem. I do not want anyone to accidentally delete out the auto-calculation formulas, and i dont want anyone to insert or delete rows/columns as this will alter its ability to print to 1 page. so clearly some protection is required.

is there any way to protect that sheet in a away that will still allow them to type in information like: the name of the item orders, how many they need, billing information, ect... While locking down things like Fonts used, font point size, and formulas?

The Card Kalastria Highborn states "Whenever Kalastria Highborn or another Vampire you control is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you may pay (1 Black mana) . If you do, target player loses 2 life and you gain 2 life."

Since you do not tap to use this ability can you dump more the 1 Black mana per vamp that goes to the graveyard?

For example if 1 Vamp goes to the the grave yard can I spend 2 black mana for 4 damage and 4 life total? Or can you only spend 1 mana per 1 Vamp that goes to the grave?

I have 2 columns.

In column A is a series of dates. Column B simply contains Yes / No Drop down menus.

Example:

1/1/201 Yes

1/2/2010 Yes

1/5/2010 No

2/10/2010 Yes

3/1/2010 No

I want to count how many times "Yes" is selected in a month.

A bunch of buddies and I love to play d20 RPGs. Well i have been away for a while and it seems everyone has started on Warhammer40k while i was gone and i need to play catch up when it comes to history, lore, background, ect... Basically i want to learn all the back story to the game so i can roleplay better

In most rpg games (Dnd for example) have a set of core rulebooks that help you get started. Can someone give me a starting point, and maybe even suggest some good books after i got the basics down?

Ok I have decided I want to swap OS from Windows to Linux. I have a god awful old laptop that just gets slower and slower, and i think the liter OS will do wonders.

The problem is i have never used Linux before. I consider my self very proficient with computers so i am confident i can learn the new OS with ease, but the slew of Linux options does seem a tad overwhelming, so i wouldn't mind some recommendations.

From what i have gathered from reading online. The distribution chosen has much to do with what you plan to use the comp for, and what hardware you have.

The hardware i have is an old dell laptop with about 1G RAM and plenty of storage. I don't recall exactly what i have for a processor but i believed it would a Intel Duel Core or something comparable.

As far as usage, it will primarily be used for some lite office work (plan on installing open office later on), and some basic internet surfing.

Can someone recommend a distribution for me? Something lite for the old system is my first concern, and something suitable for a newbie like myself is second.

During the Broken Steel campaign as you speak to Rothchild at the big map, he points out 4 locations were there are supposed to be clusters of Enclave left... However i have traveled to those locations (hoping to get some nice loot) and at best i find a few raiders... Is this bugged or am i missing something?

My buddies and I all play Vintage Casual games and, since we are all pretty broke, we are all fine with the use of proxies. So giving no heed to rarity or price of the card, is there any way to remove counters from a suspended card?

I know there were a few artifacts back in the days of Modular cards that could move counters around. Is there anything like that, which might be able to move or remove a suspend counter rather then waiting the full time?

I have a fairly decent elf deck. Decent enough that i can usualy drop all my elves and have some kind of formitable combo by about turn 3. The problem is i usualy have no hand by then. Great start but then i slow down. My oponent gets some momentum and things get harder real quick.

How can i get more cards in my hand without helping my oponent? True cards like Fecundency or Howling mine can keep me with a steady flow of cards but i would rather the guy im tring to beat not get helped out either.

Ideas?

Each o those lands give you a great deal of colored mana based on some circumstance on the board. Does Red have something comparable? Any of the non-funny sets is acceptable.

I have a family member that just got into the whole goth thing. So now 100% of their facebook and myspace comments are depressing posts like "my heart is a bloody severed stump of sorrow and blackness"..... I HATE IT! So i want to fight back by replying to all posts with something to the opposite extreme. I want to post back stuff so annoyingly sweet that diabetics wont be able to read it. Posts of gumdrops, puppies, and fluffy clouds... The problem is i am not quite witty enough to keep coming up with this stuff. Anyone know of some good websites that might provide some good material?

A buddy and myself just got Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 and we like playing the Team Deathmaches. However whenever we join a room together there is only a 50/50 chance that we end up on the same team. Is there a way to link our accounts so we stay on the same team when when the game starts?

My work is having a white elephant gift exchange.... But i have no idea what that is. Help?
