I'm a lifetime Mormon who has an intense interest in many of the various cultures, beliefs, religions & philosophies of the world and WHY people believe what they do. I also believe in natural health, freedom through obedience to law, and that if we really understood who we are, who God is and our relationship with Him, the world could be a much better place to live. I love being an observer and in showing tolerance for all in the free expressions of their beliefs so long as they are respectful of others. I've found many a truth that works well for me in my broad life experiences with many of differing beliefs, attitudes, etc and feel sorry for those still floundering around looking for answers. Hopefully I can help a few in some little way by sharing a little of what I know as we all continue to learn by experience to choose the good and reject the evil. Forcing beliefs on others is evil but helping them find truth for themselves is good if we love them as ourse

  • Is America ripe for destruction because we've abandoned all that God represents?

Reading many a Bible prophecy of the last days, mostly out of Isaiah, I see modern America committing the same acts of defiance against God as did ancient Israel in 735 BC in their total rejection of Godly principles in their society.

They sacrificed their children -- We legally abort ours.

They ridiculed prophets & teachers -- We do the same.

They purposely ignored early warning signs of attack -- We take 9/11 as a simple terrorist attack & continue to do the same with our embassy attacks and increasing violence.

Then Assyria came and totally wiped out the 10 Tribes of the northern kingdom of Israel so completely that they ceased to exist both as a people and as a nation.

Now Ross Perot tells us we are ripe for a takeover by another nation because we're so weak financially because we've abandoned every good principle of responsible behavior.

Isaiah was there with God's warning to them. Christian America has been trying to warn us to turn away from these wicked ways and more. We've so kicked God out of our schools and public life, we don't deserve the protection we've enjoyed for 200 years.

If no body is listening & heeding, are we not ripe for God's destruction?

Is not the way everything is failing us not enough of a sign that destruction is at the doors if we do not fast repent and change our ways?

I'm just wondering if nobody reads God's word anymore or realizes the many signs of the times that are happening in what very well could be our last days that will be looked back upon for many centuries into the future as to how foolish we were. If there is any hope out there, I'm not seeing it.

  • Will Christians help usher in the 3.5 years of Tribulation?

Because they won't humble themselves enough that they will vote for a man who embraces every Christian principle, including those upon which our Free Nation was founded, simply because he is a Mormon?

Do they not look at his Morals, his Ideals, his Faith and Obedience to God as he understands the commandments and gospel as it applies to him?

I ask this because if they do not get their act together and support a Good Man for our highest office, they will help re-elect someone who is known to actively work against their beliefs and will be doubly empowered with a second term. Evil prevails when good men do nothing to prevent it.

  • The Harbinger - Is it a true Voice of Warning to US?

I just finished reading The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn which is an excellent so close to life novel that I wonder if the warnings and parallels detailed therein might rightfully also apply to the United States of America in the here and now, just as it was given to ancient Israel back just before they were totally destroyed as a nation for rejecting God.

    See: http://www.theharbinger-jonathancahn.com/word_from...

I'd like some informed opinions on this. If you have not read this, I highly recommend you do so.

If you haven't read it, then answer me this: Could the terrorist attack on the United States on 9/11 truly have been a wake-up warning from God to religious America in much the same way the attack of Assyria warned them, then totally destroyed the Ten Tribes of Israel in 735 BC because they totally rejected their God just as we are doing today? Are we under the same judgment?

Read Isaiah's warnings to Israel starting in Isaiah 9:8 through about 10:27

Might the United States be in essence, a modern Israel in prophecy?

  • How come people who bash Mormons or people of faith keep their records private?

I notice that almost without fail here on Yahoo Answers, those who give abusive answers in regards to Mormons or people of faith will not allow others to follow them or see their records. Why is this?

Do they have something to hide?

Are they ashamed of what they are doing?

Meanwhile I see many who give good, honest, informed & truthful answers leave their records open so others can follow them and review their histories. Is there something we can learn of people here?

  • What kind of Critter would eat the tops off Radishes?

At first we had rabbits eating the tops off our beans & tomatoes, but we fenced them out. Now something is nibbling the ends off our radishes leaving definite chew marks in the stems. We have squirrels, woodchucks, groundhogs & voles around. How can I keep them out of my garden?

  • Why does Obama want us to worry more about how Mitt Romney spends & donates His own money?

Could it be He doesn't want us to pay attention to how He is Spending OUR money?

  • Has anyone had dealings with the Independent Educational Consultant Association?

I just got a substantial check from them in the mail. No explanation, no clues what it's for, why they sent it to me or even how they got my name. They have a cool website & offer services I don't use nor for which I am in the market for. It is signed by the Sec-Treasurer & looks legitimate in every way.

Can anyone tell me what this might be about?

  • What causes my car to get out of time after running 6-8 minutes?

This is on a 1992 Saturn 1.9L SOHC SL1. Car runs great most of the time, but couple of months ago started jerking like it was getting out of time at random. I changed out the timing chain, new guides, kit, etc. Didn't solve problem, although those were well worn. Next changed out the Crankcase position sensor, checked wires, connections, ground connections. Also checked fuel supply, filter, injectors, electrical connections there, all okay. Still, no change in problem.

At first the problem was only occasional, annoying and at random. It would choke for a few seconds, then restore itself & run fine. Now it's fairly consistent the car running good for 6-8 minutes, just to where it warms up. Doesn't matter if it is idling or speeding down the road 60 mph. The check engine light comes on, then it will start to choke, cough & sputter like it's getting out of time with spark delivered at random. Within 10 seconds it gets progressively worse, more out of time, losing power & rpm until it hits a back fire on one cylinder that seems totally random that stops the engine dead.

Sometimes after a minute or two wait, we can start it back up & it will run fine for another couple of minutes. Almost always we can start it & drive normally after about an hour & it will run long enough to get us back home. Our driving range is about 4 miles max in town. We've run codes, even while the problem exists and get nothing. Earlier codes were all related to the electronic timing sensor. Wires, including grounds, all seem to be in good condition where ever we can see them but most are well protected within the covered bundles for most of their length. No accident damage.

Coils & related connections all seem to be in good condition. When the timing gets off, it seems to affect all cylinders equally. I'm currently checking EGR & anti knock sensor but can't imagine either of them having the ability to get it as much out of time as it does. Also according to the book, this motor doesn't seem to have a separate camshaft sensor and the problem doesn't appear mechanical but rather more electrical in nature. Runs fine when cold, problem when warm.

Can you give me any clues, ideas or things to check of what else might be the problem? Would excess carbon build up in the manifold or internal parts possibly affect it?

  • What's happened to our search engines?

Is it just me or are all the search engines going a little crazy as of late? I used to be able to put in simple search words on just about anything and find a ton of results but lately they won't find the most simple of stuff like books by certain writers and things.

  • Why does Yahoo Answers not delete those questions they have deleted?

I'm talking especially about the OLD questions that show up in the fewest answers list that are over a week or two old, most of which have no answers and they deleted for some violation of community guidelines.

For those of us searching for unique older questions we can answer, these are disappointing and a distraction. If they delete them, why are they still showing up on the list we view as being active? They need to delete them from the list as well, especially if they are beyond the allotted answer time period.

It's disappointing even in the new, active list to want to answer a question to find it deleted, but I can tolerate some of that as a teaching tool. But on the old, out of date questions, we have no need of viewing them and there is no reason for them to show up in the search engines.
