  • Ok one more time everyone....please read carefully :o)?

Has anyone actually read on a pregnancy test box / pamphlet the amount of hCG required to show a positive? Typically this is between 20-100. I've read that the test your Dr. uses only needs a minimum of 20 mlU/ml hCG, Answer and Walgreens brand require minimum of 100 mIU/ml hCG, ClearBlue Easy requires a minimum of 50 mIU/ml hCG , and E.P.T. requires a minimum of 40 mIU/ml hCG.

So has anyone ever seen these numbers on any of the boxes? (the lower amount needed the sooner a test can be used) I'm happy for those of you who have used these products with success but my question is has anyone ever read these numbers on a box?

  • First Response Pregnancy test acuracy?

I read online that the level of hcg in your urine need to be at or above 100 mIU/ml hCG to register a positive on a First Response HPT. Has anyone read the boxes on any other brands to see what levels you need to be at to get a positive, INSTEAD of a false negative? I emailed First Response, but so far that's a negative lol Thanks :o)

  • Is it possible to successfully treat diagnosed depression without medications?

Wondering why my doctor has prescribed medications before attempting to address my symptoms via therapy. Medications can make you feel "better" quicker but why not address the problem head on instead of chemically altering your brain chemistry? Am i the only one who feels that putting chemicals in your body should be the last resort, or is my therapist right in saying that taking medication for depression is the same as taking insulin for diabetes?
