  • Radio turns out but there is no sound coming out.?

The radio in my car stopped working out of nowhere--it lights up and everything but there is no sound coming out of the speakers, but there is sound coming out of my subs. I have replaced all of the fuses and I am not too sure where to go from here. It seems to work every few days and then it goes out again... Any ideas?

  • Investment calculation help.?

How many years will it take for an initial investment of $18000 to grow to $37700 if it earns 12% interest compounded daily? Assume that there are 365 days per year - that is, ignore effects of leap years. Express your result to the nearest hundredth of a year.

  • Can anyone help me with this math problem, please?

You go to the doctor and he gives you 11 milligrams of radioactive dye. After 20 minutes, 6 milligrams of dye remain in your system. To leave the doctor's office, you must pass through a radiation detector without sounding the alarm. If the detector will sound the alarm if more than 2 milligrams of the dye are in your system, how long will your visit to the doctor take, assuming you were given the dye as soon as you arrived? Give your answer to the nearest minute.

I know that for every 20 mins is decreases by 5, for every 10, 2.5 and for every 5, 1.25. I had gotten 37 minutes, but the answer is still incorrect. Any advice?

  • Math homework help--inflation?

Goods costing $ 29.81 at the end of the year 1953 cost $ 179.42 at the end of the year 1993. Find the average annual inflation rate over this time period. Express your answer the nearest thousandth of a percent.

So, from this I get that over the course of 40 years, the dollar amount has increased by $149.61. I don't think I am doing it right. I have been dividing 29.81 into 149.61 where I get 501.878%. Any suggestions?

  • Should youth groups be dominantly run by a married couple?

I am 20 years old, but have been a Christian for as long as I can remember. I am highly involved in my church; I am the nursery director and a youth group leader. My church recently hired someone to coordinate all of our children and youth ministries. Long story short, I am being fired from my Youth position because I am not married. I was basically told that I know longer meet the criteria that the church is looking for. When I asked what this criteria was, she said that I have to be at least 30 and married. My reply to her was this:

God doesn’t put limitations on people because of their handicaps, you can see it all throughout the bible: Jacob was a cheater, David had an affair, Noah was a drunk, Paul was a murderer, Jonah ran from god, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossip, Mary was a worrier, Thomas was a doubter, Sarah was impatient, Elijah was moody, Moses stuttered, Zacchaeus was short, Abraham was old, Jeremiah was young, and Lazarus was dead.

God does not choose us because of what we are, but rather what we can become.

Paul boasted about his weaknesses in 2 Corinthians, he said when I’m weak I’m strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9 says: My grace is insufficient for you, for my power is make perfect in weakness.

She then tried to pull a 1 Corinthians, and said women should keep quiet, and not teach men. To this I replied:

In Galatians 3 Paul, said we’re all the same in God’s eyes.

Do you think it is right to discriminate someone because of their age?

Jeremiah was 18 years old when God called upon him, so age should not really be a factor...
