why do you need god? why do you need to pray? why not just live as if he did not exist, so that way, we don't start wars over god?

IF he was the son of god, what makes him more special then say Hercules or Prometheus? at least Prometheus gave us fire, all Jesus did was give us another book, the new testament and gave us a huge guilt trip on how much we suck.

You can say god indirectly created you, but lets be honest, if god is real, he really did not do a really good job. If you were to judge the parents of the child and the grand child of a person, then is god no different then to judge as a bad parent?

He might of given us free will, but at the same time our parents give us a curtain amount of freedom, but without completely abandoning us in this wicked world GOD himself created in his OWN image.
