  • Is she ever going to sleep through the night?!?

My daughter is 14 months now and still waking up 4 or more times a night. She sleeps in the bed with us and when she wakes up, my husband gets her a bottle and we give it to her in the bed. She immediately goes back to sleep. When is she going to sleep through the night? Also, the reason she sleeps with us is because when we get her asleep (finally), the moment we lay her down she wakes up. She will not sleep unless she is held. Any advice on this?

  • A few bottle questions?

OK, going to save my points here and ask three questions in one.

    1. What is the best way to sanitize bottles?

    2. How often should I replace nipples?

    3. How often should I replace the bottle entirely?

    I use Playtex Drop-ins

  • charge it please!?

i have very little credit and what little bit I do have is bad. Is there a credit card that I can apply for? I don't really need a credit card, i just figured it would be a good way to start slowly building a little bit of credit.

  • Should I feel guilty?

My mother lives across the street from us, my aunt down the road, my grandparents one mile away.... they're all crazy about my daughter and all beg to baby sit her, needless to say finding a baby sitter is no problem. So whenever I need to go do some business in the next town over, or go grocery shopping I always tend to leave my daughter with somebody (I usually let them take turns, if my aunt watcher her last time, my mother this time, grandparents next time... ya get the idea) but now I’m starting to feel guilty about it. When she was younger I didn't mind because she didn't need to be exposed to germs but now she's six months and not so tiny lol. She's a good girl, never cries...IDK I just feel so bad.

  • is this ok?

I leave my baby with a girl I have known for many years. We're friends. She doesn't have any kids (working on it though) but has a younger brother. She does have experience in baby sitting so that's a plus... but yesterday when I went to pick up my daughter she pointed out this "spot" she called it, on her leg. She said "I have no idea where it came from". It was a burn. I took her to the doctor to make sure she is ok; he just gave me some cream to rub on it and told me how to tend to it.

Later after the doctor I questioned her again. I asked if she had any clue as to how that could have happened. She said she was holding her while she was cooking but at no point did she just burst out in tears or anything.

This is the problem. Do I believe her? I do trust her and I do think it was an accident. I know how she was raised, and I know that she is a good person and would never intentionally hurt a baby. Accidents are forgivable....right??

  • Another Car seat question?

Ok, I live in Mississippi and it get's sooooo very hot here! Last summer it got to 116 and the humidity is TERRIBLE!

This month my daughter will be 6 months so she's in a rear facing car seat. I have tented windows but I'm still scared she'll get too hot in the car when we first get in or even blister her little legs on the car seat. I've put up those little screens you can buy in the baby center but that still don’t do much. Also I know it would take longer for her to feel the cool air from the air conditioner because she is facing backwards and the vent in the backseat in my car is low and would take a while to reach her.

My question is would it be against the law to turn her facing the front?

What other alternatives do I have? What can I do?

  • a quick bullet?

This really happened to a state trooper here...

A gas truck driver gets into a bad wreck. He's pinned in the cab, gas is spilling everywhere. The rescue people are stuck in traffic. The truck catches on fire in the rear and quickly spreads to the remainder of the truck. But the truck driver is not alone; he's with one state trooper with no backup. There is nothing the trooper can do, the flames are too hot. The truck driver begs for the trooper to shoot him so he wouldn't have the feel the pain of burning to death. What would you do? Would you shoot him and have the sin of killing a man (never mind getting in trouble, loosing your job) or let the man burn to death, staying out of trouble?

Background on the truck driver: He was young, had a young wife and a baby daughter.

When I choose my best answer I'll tell you what happened.
