What do I need to take with me on my first day of college? I haven't had a chance to buy my books and I only have the syllabus for one class. What kind of time frame do I have to buy my books?

Before I used to be able to plug a new printer into my computer and it would recognize it and work automatically, now I can't even install it with a CD. My computer keeps telling me to connect the printer (which I have). When I try to print something it doesn't even list the new printer. There are usually questions about what to look for in a good martial arts teacher. But teachers, what do you look for in a good martial arts student? Should he be seen but not heard and just listen to what he is told? Or should he offer his input and opinions and ask questions? How exactly should a martial arts student act around his teacher?

I know that MMA, BJJ, and Muay Thai are the best, but what's the 4th best? Also, how long would it take me to get a black belt in Karate if I trained 2 days a week for 2 hours each? What if I trained 3 days a week at 2 hours each? Where's a good school in my area where I can play Karate?

P.S. I can do 50 diamond push ups in a row, is this good?

I have a Streamlight M3 Tactical Illuminator for my Glock 22C and now it's not working. I've changed the batteries and the light bulb itself seems to be good, but it just won't come on. What else could be wrong? Is there some place I can take it that could fix it?

My computer runs great and is very fast, but it's loud and it heats up the whole room when it's on. I don't have a problem with it overheating, but it can make my room very very hot. It's also very loud from the fan on my processor. What can I do?

When I see lists that people have made listing jobs with job security, great starting salaries, etc. It always seems that physicians are excluded from them. Why is this? Is it because so few people become doctors?

I plan to attend North Georgia College and State University as soon as I graduate high school. My plan was to go to North Georgia on an ROTC scholarship and join the Army as an officer when I graduate and go to medical school. A recruiter recently told me that it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and join the Army now. So, what would the pros and cons of joining the Army now be? Should I join the Army Reserves or the Army National Guard? I was told by one of my "Army friends" that the Reserves would be better since the National Guard is funded by the state and our state is poor at the moment (the National Guard isn't promoting as often as the Reserves). So, what would the pros and cons be of the National Guard vs. Reserves and vice versa if I plan on going to college when I graduate? I know I'd go to basic during the summer, but since my plan is to go to college and medical school to be a physician, would I still have to go to AIT after I graduate?

I was told that the only difference between joining now and joining while I'm in college (required by the ROTC scholarship) would be that I would go ahead and get basic out of the way this summer, I'd go to AIT when I graduate (if I have to go), and then I would go to college.

This is mainly for the Bujinkan practitioners who are familiar with the system, but others may offer their guesses as well.

It's getting to be that time where Hatsumi Soke picks the theme on which we will focus for the next year. So, my question is, what do you think the 2010 theme will be?

Every time I try to play a flash game online, a few minutes later my computer will just shut down without warning. It's definitely not an overheating problem. I don't think it's spyware since I've ran anti-spyware scans. Any other ideas?

It seems like more and more kids these days love M"MA" shows so much that they're actually holding their own fights in their backyards, basements, etc. Personally, I highly disapprove of this kind of ridiculous behavior.

My reasons:

1. It's stupid and immature.

2. It's the equivalent of Star Wars fans going out and having a light saber fight.

3. It's illegal.

4. It gives a terrible name to and dishonors real martial artists.

I have a 1994 F150 with a 3" lift and 35 mud tires. Is there a way I can make the ride a bit smoother? Maybe a good type of shock absorber?

Recently my computer has just been randomly shutting down. It does not warn me or tell me why, it just does it. I scanned for spy ware and viruses but it still does it. I don't have many programs running either.

Does anyone have any different stretching methods that they use? I'm tired of the same old sprinter, squatter, and butterfly stretches and I find that I tend to slack off on my stretching because they're so boring. I've heard some people say that they scoot up against a wall as if they're sitting on it and just relax their legs and they stretch themselves. Any other suggestions?

I have some bad scratches on the stock of my Marlin 30/30. It's a wooden stock and the scratches are rather deep. How can I repair them? Should I just put some lacquer over them? Will that fill the scratches?
