Hi, I am glad you stopped by. I would be interested in getting to know you better, and see if maybe we can click. I'm a Catholic, that is but a babe as far as Christ is concerned, yet I am also firmly grounded and rooted in my truths and beliefs. Christ is my main mast in my boat, and I submit wholly to him. I tend to gravitate towards people who listen and have pretty good relationship with themselfs. I don't like unrealistic people. There are four wonderful children in my life. Im a grandmother. Wow. Every time I say that, it gives me goosebumps. Ive been married to the most wonderful man for 17 yrs.I m an easy going person, who tolerates alot considering patience is not my virtue! I am not judgemental nor am I a push over. Im a armature writer and poet,so if you do decide to read my blog, please be kind enough to leave a comment, as I will do the same. If you could pass any one( 1 ) reasonable law, what would it be and why?
The legislative seems hell bent of creating and passing laws that are doomed from the beginning. Some are to protect, some to serve, and others to regulate. Others make little or no sense at all.
So, now you are in control this one time. YOU could pass one law. What would it be and why...?
No making laws to pass as many laws as you can.. that's defeating the purpose of this question.
The most thought out question, WITHOUT NAME CALLING and impenitently said words of nonsense, would be most appreciated.
The Golden 10 points will go to the one the actually answers the question.
11 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoDid God create everything that exists?
The following story attempts to prove the existence of God. It allegedly records a conversation between a humble, God-believing student and an arrogant Atheistic university professor. The text appears in hundreds of Christian web sites on the Internet. It is doubtful whether the conversation ever took place. But one can be certain that if the story describes a real event, Albert Einstein was not the university student involved.
It seems that the story had been circulating for some time before the summer of 2004 when it was first attributed to Einstein. It is probable that Einstein's name was chosen simply in order to lend credibility to the argument.
The story can be found in text form on many hundreds of locations on the Internet. One remarkable portrayal is by photographer Macel Cohen and is in a PowerPoint presentation. It combines the text with some incredibly beautiful photographs.

Did God create everything that exists? Does evil exist? Did God create evil?
A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?"
A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"
"God created everything?" The professor asked.
"Yes sir, he certainly did," the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."
The student became quiet and did not answer the professor's hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?"
"Of course", replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?"
The other students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."
The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color.
You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's Inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.
The young man's name - Albert Einstein

23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow do you feel about Barack Obama repealing of the embryonic and fetal stem search?
There are over 4ooK embryos being stored for the use of research alone. There has never been anything viable coming from this research. It has always been stated as a "viable" opportunity, not an actuality. There has been greater research and medical advances using adult stem cells. So why do we need to do this in human thing. The government acknowledges that the unborn child is a human being, and there are laws that state the same. So how can they also use embryos as research..? Isn't that the same thing as Adolf Hitler did?

1. Do you feel, that Barrack Obama is taking sides in the Israel and Palestinian conflict?
2. Does Barrack Obama have the right to impose his will on Israeli's and the Palestinians?
"...The foreign minister himself lashed out at Western calls for Israel to resume peace talks promptly, saying Netanyahu's government, which was sworn in last week, needed up to two months to draft new policy.
"We have never interfered with other people's affairs and we expect of others not stand with a stopwatch in hand," Lieberman said in a speech to members of his party.
"We expect them to allow us time for the government to put together a serious, real and responsible program," he said, adding that Israel would come up with "new ideas." He did not offer any specifics..."
I myself am an Israel backer, and I also feel that Lieberman will do the job the Israelite peoples have voted him to do. There is no clear winner in any conflict, but I do not feel that the Palestine government has the right to decide who and where a sovereign country should be.
Please share your views, and thoughts, because I know mine shall get a lot of noise.
Bless you.
3 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhat does Easter mean to you..? Doesn't matter your faith?
The Greatest Christian Feast:
Easter is the greatest feast in the Christian calendar. On this Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. For Catholics, Easter Sunday comes at the end of 40 days of prayer, fasting, and alms-giving known as Lent. Through spiritual struggle and self-denial, we have prepared ourselves to die spiritually with Christ on Good Friday, the day of his Crucifixion, so that we can rise again with him in new life on Easter.
St. Paul wrote that, unless Christ rose from the dead, our faith is in vain (1 Corinthians 15:17). Through his death, Christ saved mankind from bondage to sin, and he destroyed the hold that death has on all of us; but it is his resurrection that gives us the promise of new life, both in this world and the next.
Whether you are Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist...I am curious as to how and why you celebrate Easter. Since I am Christian of Catholic faith, the above statement is how and why me and my family celebrate. Now it's your turn.
10 AnswersEaster1 decade agoCALLING ALL CATHOLICS-help with the Rosary?
I'm still learning the Rosary and the prayers. I am a bit confused on some issues...
I understand how and when to say the Hail Marys and the Our Fathers. The Apostle's Creed and the announcement of the Mysteries is where I am stuck.
I have been to several Catholic websites, and I have even visited the Sisters of Mercy.
I am not able to travel, so I was wondering if someone could tell me where and when I am supposed to insert the Mysteries, and how do I know which Mystery I am supposed to reflect on.
Also, any other information that would help me would be greatly appreciated.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can a homosexual be a minister if God says homosexuality is a mortal sin?
***By David J. Riggs...Among all the sins mentioned in the Bible, perhaps none is more disgusting to God than that of homosexuality. God destroyed two cities in the plains of Jordan, called Sodom and Gomorrah, because their wickedness was exceedingly great (Genesis 13:10-13). Our English word, "sodomy" is a derivative of the word "Sodom," for the cities were full of the sins of sodomy.***To gain a full understanding, the reader is urged to read Genesis 19:1-25. These cities were filled with homosexuality. Note the language of Genesis 19:4-5, "Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them {carnally}." (All Bible quotes in this brochure are from the New King James Version). Notice the language, "that we may know them." It had been used earlier to describe sexual relations in Genesis 4:1, "Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain..." The people of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of their sins; only Lot and his two daughters were saved.**
So, if a homosexual minister, priest, chaplin or what ever your faith calls your preacher, how can the word of God burn in them and they still pursue an active homosexual lifestyle?
** I'm looking for intelligent answers, even though I know there will be those that will call me names and condim my question. There again will show how their mind is captive and not looking at the question. I do not condone, support, nor partisipate in the gay community, but I do love the sinner! No matter race, creed or sexual orientaion, I will be a friend to a sinner, for I am a sinner myself.***
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoRacism, The KKK versus the New Black Panthers?
The New Black Panthers are a Black exclusive organization, that spews the same self-righteous, pro race and anti-Semitic crap as the Ku Klux Klan.
The only exception that I have been able to find is that the New Black Panthers desecrate the United States flag. The Panthers also yell and scream at others to go back to there own country, "To go back where they belong". Were not the Blacks brought to America from Africa? Hence forth the term "African-American"? The Panthers say this to many races, not just Jewish peoples. Both groups are anti gay, Jewish and promote their own hateful agendas...
But, why is it when the KKK does all of this, it gets news lines and media, and several forms of hate and legalities thrown at them?
When the New Black Panthers do the same thing, nothing comes of it?
This seems biased to me. Let one group be damned and punished, and the other to do as they please.
NOW, I am inserting this statement to let it be known,
I do not condone such acts of violence from either group, nor do I support either group, and I do not endorse racism. I follow a simple carpenter with a simple message. I am just highly curious as to what this means and why it happens...
Now I will let the coins drop where they may with the communities answers.
A well thought out answer will get my 10 points.
Thank you for your time.

10 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoShould homosexuals recieve public support because they're gay?
I know this is going to cause a lot of noise.
I want to know if lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transvestites and all the rest should be able to receive "special treatment"? There are seminars, special interest groups, and lobbyists that feel they should.I'm heterosexual (straight) and I do not receive all the hoopla and "sensitivity to heterosexual seminars" etc. There are no coming out parties and I have yet to see any parades for the heterosexual society. So, why should the homosexual society be any different? Why do I have to tolerate this in a workplace that says "discussing sexual behaviors in the workplace can be construed as sexual harassment." Enough already. I do not tell my bedroom life, so why do I have to listen to theirs?
So, my overall question is this; Do you feel that the homosexual society get preferential treatment?
5 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoAre you blind, or would you know?
In today's world, we see so much ( via technology ) that was not always meant to be seen.
Everything that we think is important isn't, and was is important is the last place we look.
That being said, if Jesus was to walk this Earth again, would you be able to recognize Him, or would you tell him to get a job?
I know that this will get several peoples statements for points, and that's ok, because that in of itself is an answer.
To the one that gives a well thought statement, the golden 10 will be awarded.

My faith as a Christian is strong, and so are my values. I'm looking for teachers and mentors online to help me toddle along into Catholic maturity.

1. Has the English language changed it's spelling? I am unable to decipher some words, so I play along as best as I can.
2. When did sex become such a mainstream with teens? Some of the questions they ask leave me stuttering on my own tongue. Ex. What kind of noises should I make for my boyfriend on the phone while masturbating. By the way, I am 13!!! WTH??
3. Am I alone in thinking this?
Thoughtful and non derogatory answers only please.
9 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoWhy are police officers of all ranks so suseptable to divorce, alcohol, drugs and domestic violence?
I have some friends that are police, firefighters, paramedics. I listen to their "shop talk" and have noticed that so and so, this person or another is getting divorced, beat upon, or this one bloke I know who is drinking like a fish. Not on the job, but I do believe alcohol does stay in the system a bit.
A friend of mine husband is in the business of "protecting public officials" and has a drug issue.
To me this seems bad, and I have said my fair comments, but I was wondering why this phenomenon happens so frequently.
