  • Is there a minimum age to buy a timeshare?

in Mexico? No, I don't want one, I just don't want my 27 year old daughter getting bothered. When we were in Mazatlan alot of the street guys asked how old she was. When she said 25 they just walked away. I am just wondering if you have to be 30 to buy a timeshare?

    Thanks

  • What are some funny things your dog does?

My Yorkie saw a mouse 2 days ago outside our patio door. Every waking moment she now spends looking outside. When I let her out she runs around and looks for it, then she wants back in the house, and 5 minutes later she's back looking out the window again

  • Problems with Rabies Vaccine?

Our 2 Yorkies have never had the rabies vaccine. We live in Canada and it's not required. However we will be starting to winter in Arizona, and will need to get them vaccinated for rabies to be able to bring them into the U.S. There seems to be alot of negative side affects. On the other hand, if every dog in the US is vaccinated, I think it can't be that bad.

    Comments?

    Thanks

  • If your dog has a tick

does only the head go into the skin? Or can a tick bury itself, so only a little black bump is showing? My little Yorkie has been chewing just above her tail for about a week (we were camping) and has a little lump with a black little spot.

    Thanks

  • When you die from cancer what exactly kills you?

My mom just passed away from pancreatic cancer. What makes your heart stop? Does the body not pump enough blood to your heart, or is it lack of oxygen to the brain, or something else

    Thanks

  • Not a question, just looking for moral support?

My mom is in Hospice House with terminal pancreatic cancer. I'm having a hard time watching her go downhill. She's down to 50 lbs and looks like a skeleton. She's still eating (abit) and drinking. There's now a pressure sore on her tailbone that won't heal, and she has open leg ulcers on one leg. Yesterday the nurses changed the bandages, and mom cried. I've never seen her cry...ever. She's also getting extremely weak, to the point she can't get out of bed. She tries though, and has fallen twice in the night trying to walk 10 steps to the bathroom. The nurses have told us if she won't ring for help, then they will have to sedate her, so she doesn't break anymore bones.

I'm finding this really hard to deal with. I never thought I'd see my fiesty little mom like this.We are hoping the end is near, but believe she will fight this as long as possible.

    Thanks for letting me vent

  • Has anyone ever heard of this?

My mom is in hospice with pancreatic cancer. She is mostly bedridden now. For the last few days, she has a clear fluid leaking from her ankle. Enough that the nurses have to keep changing the pad under her foot. My mom doesn't know what the problem is, and we don't want to call, as we'll be seeing her on Friday. Just curious.

    Thanks

  • Can Hydrocodone cause hallucinations?

Or is this end of life issues. My mom is in the final stages of pancreatic cancer, and the last few days has been having hallucinations. Today the hospice nurse called us at home. (We live a 6hr drive away) My mom says we were visiting her this morning and we got mad at her and left. We called to talk to her and she was extremely agitated, and confused. She kept asking where we were. She thinks we were there, but we were at home, and haven't seen her since last Thursday. The Dr had to sedate her. The nurse said it could be the drugs, but never really gave us an answer. Can too many drugs do this>

    Thanks

  • Pancreatic Cancer question?

My mom was diagnosed with PC. She has been in hospice house since Apr 1rst. She has lost a temendous amount of weight and has hardly been eating anything. I believe she'd weigh under 60 pounds.

Her main problem has been having a bowel movement. Even laxatives don't seem to be working anymore. I think this is some of the reason why she doesn't eat.

I guess my question is how long can someone last without food? She sips at Boost & Ginger Ale.

  • How to deal with denial?

My mom has pancreatic cancer. She was told she had 2-3 months to live. This was at the beginning of February. She has had alot of problems with pneumonia, and intestinal blockages. She survived all those hurdles, and is now in a hospice house. Since she arrived at hospice she's doing much better. Since she feels well, and isn't in any pain right now, she thinks that death is not that close. She wants to move alot of her belongings into the hospice. The way she talks, it sounds like she thinks she's going to be there for a long time. We have talked to her, the Dr's, nurses etc, and she says yes she knows she's going to die, but everytime we turn around she's talking about 2, 3, 4, months from now. It is so stressful for us having to deal with this. And also we live a 6-7 hour drive away, and have been driving back & forth now for the past month.

Any suggestions? She is 83, but still has all (most) of her marbles

  • Can panceatic cancer spread?

to the lungs? My mom had pneumonia at the beginning of the month, and was on antibiodics. She wasn't doing well last weekend, and my husband took her back to the hospital. Afew days ago she was coughing up blood. Today she is going for CT scans. Just wondering if pneumonia would look the same as cancer on the chest x-rays she had.

  • Has anyone ever herniated a disk in their back?

My hubby started out with a bad back ache over a week ago. The Dr prescribed a pain killer/anti-inflammitory. Last night he had a severe spasm that caused his leg to go numb down to his knee. His leg you could see all twisting & twitching. He actually passed out from the pain. This happened last week too, but not as severe.

This morning is back to the regular aching, but now he is terrified this will happen again.

He is going for massage therapy today. Any other suggestions?

  • Does anyone know about pancreatic cancer?

My mom just had surgery yesterday to fix a bowel obstruction. The Dr said there was a tumour on the pancreas that was attached. He couldn't remove it, so he did a bypass around it. He didn't come out & say it was cancer, but hinted that at her age (83) they wouldn't do chemo, because she is quite frail.

We live quite far away and talking to the Dr is difficult. I know this kind of cancer is terminal, but how much time does someone usually last?

I should also add, that she has been having stomach problems for afew months already.

    Thank-you

  • Diabetes question?

My husband is in the process of getting blood tests done for diabetes. The first test showed positive. The 2nd test was yesterday. I'm pretty sure it will be positive too.

He always seems to be irritable, is this one of the symptoms? He's always hungry too, although he hasn't lost any weight.

What are the signs of high blood sugar?
