5 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoIs religion the greatest threat facing humanity?
Tyrants and oppressors commonly use religion to incite humans to hate and destroy other humans. This has occurred throughout history and continues to this day. Religions were created by men speaking for "god" and many people believe that holy books are the word of god. Most of those books decry violence and the murder of other human beings yet they are somehow used to justify hate and destruction. Is religion the most dangerous threat we face as human beings?

19 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy are Americans so brainwashed about health care?
We already have many "socialized" services in the US such as Police, Fire, Libraries, Parks, Schools, some utilities, etc.
Recently, the Bush administration that refused to consider spending money on citizens health care "socialized" many banks, insurance and mortgage companies.
Why is it so hard for Americans to see the value in a government sponsored universal health care. The rest of the civilized world has forms of universal government sponsored health care in place and they seem to work well for them. To my knowledge none have reverted.
This is of course contrary to the propaganda put out by the medical, drug and insurance industries who make vast profits from our broken system. When will we Americans stop voting against our own best interests and demand universal health care?
12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIf we have socialized fire fighting, parks, police, and?
most recently banks, insurance and mortgage companies? Why is so hard to accept health care? Isn't a citizen's health a basic element for the security of our nation?

10 AnswersElections1 decade agoShould we privatize the police force?
We could negotiate for defense against crime and bid for our personal safety. At the very least we should have co-pays for assistance.
Wouldn't this be a more free market approach to security?

12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould we end socialized fire fighting?
Should we privatize fire fighters? In Rome they would pull up to a house fire and negotiate the price to put it out. Free enterprise.
Is this a good idea?
