I'm trying to remember a book for teens about a girl who falls into a fairy tale world, a bit like the opposite of the film Enchanted, and the fairy tale world was a lot like the world of Shrek, where it was a ton of fairy tales mashed together.

So unbelievably vague, I'm sorry, but any book this fits the description of would be a great starting point.

At this point, the more melodramatic/cheesy, the better - i.e., 'Six Months to Live', etc. Like one of those cancer novels that were so popular ten years ago. Something you'd see in flowing text that's meant to evoke an emotional reaction.

Hate to ask another Twilight question, but the Twilight Lexicon has very little information on Kate, and I was wondering what you all could tell me about her character. The more details, the better!

I'd really appreciate some constructive criticism on my first chapter - not just 'oh, that's great!' or 'ew, that's awful', but anything you think I could improve on would be extremely helpful. Characters, narration, setup, anything.
