Hi, so I've been doing some reading. I understand that my best option when filing my taxes is Married Filing Jointly. I worked for a few months during 2010...I made 9,000...Do I have to file? Also, my husband changed jobs in 2010..at his previous job he only made 7,000..Does he have to file this w-2??? We have one dependant.

A friend of mine gets over $900.00 a month foodstamps..She is very capable to get off her butt and get a job..Yet, she claims to be a "stay at home mom". Her husband works and brags about his huge pay checks to my husband...They were going thru a rough spell at the beginning of the year, that's when they decided to apply for foodstamps.. I can understand that..They have 4 kids..BUT, it seems to me that things have gotten better for them in the last few months. When she first told me that she had applied and gotten FS she said she was SHOCKED at how much they were allowed each month. She made the comment that she had taken several of her family members grocery shopping, because she could never spend that much a month. Now, she goes to Sams Club each month and racks up...Sam's takes FOOD STAMPS!?!? I couldn't believe that! She was here one day..and said "Let's have a seafood night!" I was like..ok, whatever.. She went to the grocery store and spent over 200.00 of her FS money to buy crablegs and shrimp. I thought, OMG..This idiot is getting this money each month, and there's other people who can't work..and barely get anything..or nothing at all. I just don't understand it. Next week they're going to the beach, just went and bought a brand new really nice treadmill. Stuff that ppl who really need FS should not be able to do. I don't know how these people are getting away with this..He doesn't have any takes taken out of his check, he's basically paid under the table I guess you could say. So, really...they can't prove his income. Somehow they both ended up being able to file income taxes and both received over 3500.00 each...She doesn't even work!! How does she file taxes?!!?? But of course, child support took it all..Cause he doesn't pay that like he should. This just really urks me, and I'm not sure if I should just let it ride, or report it. Even if I did report it, they probably wouldn't do anything.

What form do I need to file my Georgia state taxes myself?

Hey, I just started dieting and exercising..It's been awhile since I've done serious walking. When I go to the gym and use the treadmill at about 10 mins of a steady pace..the muscle on the side of my legs above my ankle starts burning and gets really tight. Hurts like crazy!! When it starts hurting, I have to stop..and a few mins later there's no pain. So, I get back on and go again. Could this be something serious, or is it just because I have been inactive for awhile?

My mom takes care of all of my Grandfathers bills since he can't do it himself. She got a 1099-MISC in the mail for him...it was for 2,700. We have no idea what to do with it. He receives a police man's retirement check, retirement check, and SS. Does he need to file the 1099-MISC? TIA

Does anybody have a definite answer as to when the WMR site is updated? I talked to a lady yesterday who claims that it is only updated on the weekends. But, from reading here people seem to have had theirs updated several times during the week.

Hello, just wanted to ask a quick question. On my husbands..I guess it's called a W4..The thing that his employer has...How should he file? We just got married a few months ago...He has custody of his neice. So, should he file Married and 1. My return was accepted on 1/19. I did e-file thru h&r block...Up until today it said it would be deposited by 2/3...Then today I checked and I'm getting that it has been delayed and ref # 1201. I called the IRS and a lady said that she didn't see any problems with it..and that it typically takes them 3 weeks to process it. WHAT?!?! 3 weeks....I paid for 8-15 days dangit! I need my money! Anyways, has anybody gotten this ref code?

I am trying to print scrolls for my wedding. I have a standard size sheet of printing paper...and what I want to do is print the words vertically on the paper...with two on each page...and then cut it in half. Is there a way to do this?

My husband has not received his W2 form yet...Other ppl that he works with got theirs over a week ago...We moved about 3 months ago... All of our mail was forwarded to new address...He did not change his addy with his work (doofus, i know)..The company that he works for has another company out of state that handles all of the payroll and w2 stuff...Who should we contact?? Is it possible to contact the USPS and find out where the mail could have gone?
