I tried to explain that Christians didn't NEED Portols to seek God because we always have God's Holy Spirit with us wherever we were.... What do you all know about "Portals"? Any help in understanding this?

Years ago when there was a draft, or when the courts automatically gave a person choice of service in the armed forces vs other punishment....even for minor crimes... many had no choice, but served our Country to the best of their ability anyway...Regardless of the reason you "served our Country".... the fact is, you DID or are doing so now.... and I would like to say "Thank you". :)

Did you receive/see the latest news bullitin? President Bush has been given a 6 month period of time in which he can do ANY surveilance he wants? (and has been given all power to do so by congress?)

My grandson's comp had just been re-set to factory settings and when we got it back from friend, desktop was empty...and when you try to put an icon onto it it just disappears...

He has a Windows XP (service pack2) Compaq Presario...

Anyone have an idea what to do? (grandson is autistic and this bothers him)

Remember when Jesus told the Disciples that sometimes there is a need for prayer and fasting for heavy duty deliverance or healings?

How has "fasting" helped you in your walk? Did you try everything else first? Have you ever had 2 alike situations that you prayed for someone or for yourself-1 with and 1 without fasting? Was fasting AND praying more effective or about the same?

Is it against the rules to write God as God? At first I thought maybe some people just couldn't bring themselves to spell G O D because of their own beliefs or non-beliefs, but, I've also seen it on some of the sites about Judaism...

What did you think about them? Did you get the help you needed once you found Jesus OR were you told "you will know what to do" and then left alone even though you had no clue what to do next? Did you walk away because you couldn't find anyone to help? Would you have stayed if there was?

Tonight I received a phone call from my daughter-in-law... my 2 1/2 yr old grand-daughter had a 4 hr long nosebleed and they went to the hospital. Doctors took x-rays after many tests and exams and found that my grand-daughter has a rather large hole in her heart....and needs heart surgery!

Daughter-in-law says they are having a specialist come in to look at her later this week.

This dear grand-daughters' mom and dad have been keeping God at arms length...and need a MIRACLE for their daughter AND for their whole family.

I keep seeing generalizations by everyone about what they THINK is "typical" traits of each group.

I myself am a long term child of God, Spirit filled and blessed over and beyond my expectations, ....I am of the type of person that I have a need to keep learning....and will read just about anything put before me, and will research anything that catches my interest...I also write...lol...or try to...II enjoy scifi and fantasies but not horror flicks....I constantly ask questions of myself, God, and others....and it still hasn't been an interference factor in my belief....and I question why it has done so for others...unless they had never been filled with the Holy Spirit?

So...what about you all? Really interested to see where this goes....in fact, would you say that those whom have been filled with the Holy Spirit that USE their "gifts" and such could be a "certain type" too?

Received an e-mail from a friend which stated that Congress picked the date for all of the US....this means no-one will be able to watch local programming with just an antennae anymore....will have to purchase special boxes.....what do you all think or know about this?

Something that you forgot to mention, or, a postscript to questioner and/or answerers of something they said that you hadn't seen before?

I am 51, and can only remember dreaming maybe 4 dreams....I laugh in my sleep though (happy laugh) so I MUST be dreaming....I have even asked God to let me remember dreams like they say to do....but I don't....not nighttime anyway, but if I ever nap durring day, I can remember dreaming in them. Can someone please explain? (thankyou)
