I bought a 1995 Camaro for $1500. It is a base model which originally had the 3.4 V6 but was convert over to a 94 LT1. I have extra money to use so I figure while I'm away from home, I'll sped it on my beloved car. Here's a little list of new and used parts that I can recall off the top of my head:

04 LS6 with 60k miles

Racing headers - not sure the brand but 1 5/8 openings out to 3.5in OD

Summit racing exhaust 3.5in OD all the way back with high flow cats

Transmission out of a 2000 firebird was built to handle the performance

3200 high stall speed torque converter and intercooler for the excessive heat

Bored out throttle body. Not sure to what but presumably as much as possible

Custom cold air intake - higher airflow than conventional CIA

Rear end out of a 97 Camaro. I forget te name but the locking possi one

Carbon fiber driveshaft

Cradle and brake system off of the same firebird

All new racing shocks

Racing sway bars

Little bits and pieces such as dual core radiator, high torque starter, high output alternator for sound system and optima battery, etc.

Also optimal performance tuned ECM.

My question would be now what kind of 1/4 mile time would I possibly expect. I know many variables come into play but perhaps an optimal ballpark figure would do.

Assume:

92 octane gas

Extreme high performance summer tires oem rims

Ideal launch

Auto trans

Also what could I expect to be top speed?

It doesn't matter if it's nitro or electric. I'd prefer RTF (Ready To Fly) but a kit is okay too. Needs to be under $300. Needs to be bigger than two feet overall length. Thanks in advance!

I need to know which would sound the best given the following details:

Ever since I can remember, I have heard voices. They aren't voices that tell me to do bad things or anything like that. They seem to call to me and try to get my attention. For example, the voices could say my name or simply, "Hey". Or, "Over here!" It isn't too emotionally distressing but I'd like to know why this happens. As of late, the voices have been getting what seems to be more urgent, more distressed, more exclaimed. I perceive these voices calling out to me like I'm in a dream of sorts and a multitude of people are trying to wake me for whatever reason. Such reasons could include, in my opinion, me being in a coma, in a deep sleep and the house is on fire, and really any situation in which I may be unconscious.

Now that I have laid it out for you folks, what is your opinion? Why do I hear them? Is it coincidence with noises that occur in my daily life or are the voices real? Could life be one big dream for me and everything is a figment of my imagination and I will soon either wake up or perhaps eventually die sooner or later? I get a full 7-9 hours of sleep a night. I do stay up late but that is because of the shift I work. I have a healthy diet and eat more than most people I know (fast metabolism). I try to run a mile a day and keep weights close at hand for my idle times. The voices are clear as day and directional which to me tells me that they aren't in my head... Any questions? I will try to answer them with Additional Details.

I have a 1988 Camaro with the 350 TPI. It is red (soon to be painted black I hope).

I already have Navigator fog lights so I'm good in that respect. Now for those that don't know, I am getting four (4) housings total and two (2) sets of the bulbs to match the stock look. But since the bulbs are dual beam (high and low), I am going to make the two outside housings the dims while the inside ones stay off (like stock). But for the brights, I am going to wire them so that all four housings come on bright beam instead of the two insides bright and outsides low. Get what I'm getting at? I hope...

I hope they will look like a second sun is shining in front of my car when the brights are on. Do you think this is a good idea or that it may be illegal? Thoughts and opinions? Thanks!

I have a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado (trunk room reference). I have two 4in speakers in front (150 watt peak 60 constant), two 6x9 on the rear deck (not sure the specs because I got them free from a buddy), and two 10in subs in my trunk. All of which are Sony. The subs are Xplod 1100 watt peak. My amp is a 600 watt Sony. My radio is Sony as well.

I'm looking for a bigger boom. My subs are mounted in two sealed boxes (they are pretty small. i think maybe .75 cubic foot). I was thinking about building a sealed box myself (i have worked construction so i'm pretty good at that stuff). The only problem is that I don't know how big I should make it. I want only one box though if possible. Maybe two is better? Maybe a bigger amp?

I know, you are thinking, "Why did he cheap out and get 10in?" Truth is, I'm cheap so I'm stuck with what I have. =]

Forgive me if I have missed anything.

I built it last year and am just now getting passed in performance from only a very rare few. I would like to stay on top of my game and either I upgrade or I overclock and upgrading is not possible at this time (or I would have done it already).

Anyway, any motherboard settings for stable overclocking would be appreciated. I can get the cpu up to 2.8Ghz stable and up to 3.2Ghz but it freezes after a bit.

I started with three Crayfish. Their names were Curly, Larry, and Moe. Curly and Larry ate Moe then not too long ago Larry ate Curly. I can tell them apart because of the size difference.

I read that they are territorial and have to have at least ten gallons of water to themselves. Well, my tank is only ten gallons. Is this territorial thing true and should I get a bigger tank? (They were eaten when molting if that matters. Larry and Curly were living in the tank together for about four months before Curly was eaten.)

I feed Larry shrimp pellets and algae discs, is this a sufficient diet? I feed him as much as he can eat in a few minutes twice a day.

Also, how big do you think Larry will get? I read that the bigger the tank is the bigger Crayfish will get. Is this true?

I am looking to get a remote control truck. I want it to be purely electric, 4wd, and able to go in snow or shallow water and, of course, sand, dirt, grass, etc. Are there any recommendations?

a 1994 Cadillac 4.6L Northstar Base model and a 1994 Cadillac 4.6L Northstar Touring model?

Base model has 270hp and 300ft-lbs torque.

Touring model has 290hp and 295ft-lbs torque.

The only difference I can tell is the camshafts.

Are the heads interchangeable??

1994 Cadillac Eldorado with the 4.6L Northstar.

When I go out and start up the car after it sits overnight and put it into drive, it will shift through the gears perfect... Until it is driven a few miles. Then when I stop like at a stop sign or something and go to accelerate, it is slower than dirt and the RPMs are like 2000 and raise equally slow as the car is accelerating. Even if I manually put it into 1st or 2nd, it wont help the shifting issue.

If I let it sit for a few hours and come back to drive it, it will shift perfect (but not as long as if I let it sit overnight).

Also, when driving, sometimes it jumps into 2nd and gets stuck there no matter what I do unless I put in into neutral and shut off the car while coasting. That way I can put it back into drive and it will shift back into 4th. Another thing is that when I am cruising at 60mph, the car will buck ever so slightly and the RPMs will jump up and down by about 200.

As an afterthought: I did have new shift solenoids installed about six months back because it was stuck in 2nd gear. All the time no matter what.

I have a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado. It has a 4.6L Northstar with 32 valves. I recently acquired a new computer from another Eldorado (white car) and put it in my first one (silver car). It has all the history codes and everything from the new computer, however, it seems the car isn't accepting it. For example: With the silver car, the computer limited it to 112 MPH. The white car is limited to 130 MPH but the silver car with the white car's computer still shuts off at 112. Another example is with the idle. The white car idled at about 600 RPM whereas the silver car idles at 800 RPM. But when I put the white car's computer in the silver car, it still idles at 800 RPM. Is there something special that has to be done? Can the car learn the new computer?

It is a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado 4.6L Northstar 32 valve. It happens without any notice or indication. I go to start the darn thing and it just clicks once. Also, the radio and lights (exterior and interior) all go off for as long as I hold the key to the start position but the heads up display stays on... The battery is fine and I'm sure the starter is because it does this just every once in a while. It has these fits of not starting and I'm stuck for up to a few days and I'm afraid it just won't start one day. The Temperature can be hot or cold, it doesn't matter. Rain or shine. Snow or sleet. Fog or no frost. You probably got the point now. Anyway, I need help!! Thank you VERY much!

I would like to know where the computer is in this Caddy (one or all if there is multiple). It is a standard 4.6L Northstar 32 valve. The car is shifting real rough and dying when at a stop and I was told it was the computer so I got one given to me and I was going to change it. Your help would be much appreciated!!

I have a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado. It has a 4.6L Northstar 32 valve in it. When idling, it has a whir. It is almost unnoticeable (only noticeable if you are listening for it). However, if the engine is revved (say between 2000 and 6000 driving or sitting still) the whirring increases in decibels with the RPMs. It is VERY noticeable at about 2500 RPMs when driving and also very annoying. Can anyone tell me what this may be?

I have a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado with a 4.6L Northstar 32 valve. When I am idling, the headlights and interior lights pulsate just ever so slightly (more noticeable in the interior). I was just wondering what this is caused by and how I may be able to fix it without any or little cost as it is not a necessary thing for me to fix because I'm used to it now. Thanks!!
