Crayfish (Crawfish; Crawdad; aquatic life) help please!!?

I started with three Crayfish. Their names were Curly, Larry, and Moe. Curly and Larry ate Moe then not too long ago Larry ate Curly. I can tell them apart because of the size difference.

I read that they are territorial and have to have at least ten gallons of water to themselves. Well, my tank is only ten gallons. Is this territorial thing true and should I get a bigger tank? (They were eaten when molting if that matters. Larry and Curly were living in the tank together for about four months before Curly was eaten.)

I feed Larry shrimp pellets and algae discs, is this a sufficient diet? I feed him as much as he can eat in a few minutes twice a day.

Also, how big do you think Larry will get? I read that the bigger the tank is the bigger Crayfish will get. Is this true?

Any other information would be majorly appreciated!! Thanks again!

Update:

Thanks! I was thinking about a 30gal being as they don't cost too much. I have a 3-10gal filter currently so I will upgrade to a 10-30gal filter. I have a few places for him to hide such as rocks, ceramic cave, and half a coconut shell with a hole cut into it. He loves the coconut shell.

Crayfish are bottom feeding scavengers, It is in their nature to eat other fish, MOST LIKELY, fish that are already dead.

Size of crawdad and crayfish depend COMPLETELY on their breed. Their parents.

The rule of thumb is have 1 square foot of floorspace in the tank per crawdad or crayfish you have, because that will keep them away from eachother. Gallons don't matter when it comes to bottom feeders, which people don't realize.

I have had experience with crayfish for 6 years and they will kill each other if they are ever kept together. the diet you are feeding them is not sufficient and should be changed to raw or cooked meats twice a day or hard boiled eggs. if you want to make him very happy make sure he has a place to hide in some rocks and they can get quite large so you should get a larger tank and it should be about 30 gallons and use a low level filter because they can filter feed and they dont really eat algea. good luck my man

These guys get really territorial and need room for themselves. They will cannibalise when kept in to small of a tank. And yes they will be eaten during the molt because they are soft and easily killed. You should have done your homework before you got them.
