  • Guinea pig sounds congested?

My female guinea pig sounds congested, her nose and eyes are not crusty, or running.

She seems perfectly fine except for the assumed congestion.

If your initial response is "take her to the vet" please don t waste your time.

I m looking for thoughts from other owners who ve experienced this problem, or experts.

    Thank you

  • Laptop melt down?

I have 2003 dell. A while ago, the screen kept blacking out. I replaced the back light, which fixed the problem.

About a week ago, I was taking the laptop downstairs, and I fell down a flight of stairs, throwing my laptop as I fell. It hit the wall with considerable force, leaving a nice dent, and landed hard. The plastic covering around the screen snapped open on one bottom corner, which I was able to snap on again. After turning it on with no obvious problems, I had hoped I didn't do any serious damage. Recently though, whenever I try to open up my laptop, it will turn on with no problem, but after maybe 5 or 10 minutes it'll black out. The bottom park of the screen heats up very quickly, which I'm guessing is the reason for the melt? I'm not techy at all, and I'm not sure how to fix this problem. (Please give me serious answers and I don't need advise to get a new laptop) Thank you.

  • New guinea pig is hurting my guinea pig. What do I do?

My little sister got a female guinea pig about 2 years old for my guinea pig, and did my best to get them to socialize. From what I saw, the other guinea pig is used to be at the bottom of the ranking order, and was very friendly and curious to mine, (Princess). But Princess began freaking out. Chattering and puffing up and running away while squealing. I gave them time to get used to each other, and the new guinea pig was always purring and wanting to get acquainted, but princess acted defensively. Now Sweetie is playing the bully, guarding the water, and constantly pushing Princess around the cage. They did fight a few times, which I stopped. Today when I took them outside in their play pen to exercise; I was petting Princess and noticed that her fur was irregular in some places, and I found a few shallow bites. But when I got to the end of her spine, I saw a swollen sore that seemed to have a black scab on it. And when I tried to move her fur out of the way, the scab rubbed off and it was black, and small. I had never seen a wound like that before, so I started looking up tumors and cancer. it looked like a fatty tumor, but when I went back to check on her, this grey stuff was oozing out of it. I don't know what it is, and she doesn't seem to be in pain. It's not blood, or pus from what I can tell. I can't take her to the vet, and I would if i could, so could you give me some advice without saying take her to the pet or putting her down. Should I sell the other gp?

  • My dog has bumps all over his body, help!?

I woke up this morning to my brother shouting at my that my dog had bumps all over his back. I came down and looking him over, the night before I had noticed smallish bumps on his back, and checked them, he didn't seem to care and did not act unusual. It looking like the fur was sticking up, it didn't seem to be the skin. But in the morning there were lots of bumps all over his back. I pressed them, and squeezed them, and he didn't seem to notice. I itched them for him and he stretched out his head like he does when he is enjoying a good itch. I caught him itching them, but after a while ignoring him. I do not have the funds to take him to a vet, and I am on here asking for help since I am unable to do so at the time, please do not tell me to take him to the pound and say stupid things like that, I love my Pit Bull, and only want the best for him,

  • My guinea pig's toe is bent but her nails are well trimmed?

I trim my guinea pig's nails every few months, and I noticed that one of her fingers or whatever you call them, is slightly bent to one side, it doesn't seem to bother her, and I think it's bent because she walks on it, causing it to curl away from her other paws, should I wrap them together, or wait for time to heal it?
