    I've been pretty sick of Melo's inconsistency and I just got this offer. Because it's a 2 for 1 trade I'm not sure how to judge it. Could this move help me? I'm in a category league (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, FG percentage, 3P percentage). Turnovers aren't really a big deal to me because I usually lose that category every week.

  • 8 team fantasy league: 6 or 8 playoff teams?

    I'm trying to decide whether or not all teams in our category fantasy league make the Playoffs. It's just for fun but we've debated a lot on this.

    With 6, you actually have to fight to get in the Playoffs and the division winners also get a bye. With 8 it's a nice square bracket that makes everyone have to win 3 games to win the championship. Any opinions?

    I'm pretty sure this is a conservation of mass problem, but I apologize if I'm wrong.

    When 60.0 g of carbon is burned in 160.0 g of oxygen, 220.0 g of carbon dioxide is formed. What mass of carbon dioxide is formed when 60.0 g of carbon is burned in 750.0 g of oxygen?

    The answer says 220.0 g. Why does increasing the oxygen not change the amount of carbon dioxide formed?

  • Is it legal for a company to make more than one copyright claim on the same content?

    I have had a video copyright claimed by a company, which I then submitted a counterclaim for and had the video reinstated. Since then I have had numerous claims from the same company and have had to make the exact same counterclaim to reinstate the video. With the verdict having been previously reached (that the video is not a violation of copyright law) is it legal for a company to make that same claim again?

    My attempt: ln((x+1)^2) = 2ln(x+1), which can be written as a scalar multiple of ln(x+1). Does that alone prove that the function is linearly dependent?

    A is a 3x3 matrix.

    Here's what I did: using my computer I calculated the determinant of A^3 to be -8. But then couldn't I say that det(A^3) = det(A) * det(A) * det(A), meaning that [det(A)]^3 = -8 and therefore det(A) = -2? Or is this not a valid way to prove this?

    I tried this using integrals by parts and got 90. I used Wolfram's double integral calculator and 6(7log(7) - 6). So now I'm scared to use either answer.

    Set 1: [1,1,3]^T & [0,2,1]^T in R^3

    Set 2: [1,1,0,0]^T, [1,-1,1,0]^T, [0,2,0,1]^T in R^4

    Both end up with a row of 0s in reduced row echelon form, so why is Set 2 a span while Set 1 isn't?

    Let x1, x2, and x3 be linearly independent vectors in R^n and let

    y1 = x1 + x2

    y2 = x2 + x3

    y3 = x3 + x1

    So, what I did was change the equation into ay1 + by2 + cy3 = 0

    Then I plugged in the x's and got a(x1+x2) + b(x2+x3) + c(x3+x1).

    Then I changed it to this form:

    x1(a+c) + x2(a+b) + x3(b+c)

    I put it in an augmented matrix

    [1,0,1 | x1

    1,1,0 | x2

    0,1,1 | x3]

    And since there are no free variables, doesn't that make y1, y2, and y3 independent? I feel like I did something wrong though because of a similar problem I found online. What are the steps I should take to figure this out?

  • How to fix lag on the PC?

    I'm using a Intel HD 4600 Graphics card, so I know my laptop isn't built specifically for gaming. I was fine with running my game (NBA 2K16) on low settings, but no matter what I change, the game seems to run on the exact same amount of lag. I can run the game and the main menu works fine, but when I go into an actual game is when the lag starts up. I'm willing to play on low settings, but I just need to know what to change to make the game run smoother.
