  • What does Lady Macbeth's heavy breathing suggest?

    This is for my assesment. I am doing a scene on Macbeth, the part where Lady Macbeth reads a letter before she dies. What letter is she reading? And I can hear the sounds of her breathing while reading the letter. What does her heavy breathing suggest?

  • What does sound of footsteps mean in a film?

    I am doing a scene on Macbeth. The scene starts from where Macbeth walks towards Lady Macbeth after killing Duncan and the scene ends at the part where Lady Macbeth and Macbeth wash their hands near the well.

    There are a lot of sounds of footsteps of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in the scene. Why did Polanski (director) use the sound of footsteps? What is Polanski trying to show us through the technique? Do you guys know any other techniques in the scene?

    Can someone help me? I have this assesment due on Friday and I have to figure out why he uses footsteps?
