  • stiffness and tingling?

When I sit for a period of more than 30 minutes, my feet and ankles feel like they are swollen and they are stiff to walk on for the first couple dozen steps. It doesn't matter how I am sitting, in a tall desk chair at work, on the sofa, good or bad posture, etc.

In addition, my hands have been going numb at night. I wake up in a typical sleep position for me and one or both my hands are numb and tingling to the point of pain.

Both these started around the same time and I can' figure out why. I've tried increasing my water intake, I'm overweight, but eating a better diet and working out and I've been losing some weight.

    Any ideas?

  • My 8 year old cat is extra thirsty and not himself?

He'd been acting normal until about 2 days ago. Suddenly the water dishes aren't good enough, he wants fresh water from the tap and just sits there drinking and drinking and drinking. He stopped cleaning himself 2 days ago and isn't touching his food or favorite treats. Does seem to have a runny nose, doesn't want his usual attention from me and isn't vocal like normal.

I've freshened his cat food, cleaned out his water fountain, litter box is cleaned as normal, no excessive peeing or pooping, nothing else seems different in his enviroment.

We cannot get into the vet until next Tuesday, so I am wondering what tips or tricks have worked for others until they can be diagnosed by the vet to ease them or help them start to feel better?

  • Redoing Kitchen cabinets, what are your thought on this idea?

The upper cabinets in our home are original to the house, built in 1964. However, the lower cabinets are mixed of original and two replacements(which are very crappy). The original cabinets are in great shape, just have multiple layers of paint on them.

Our idea: Strip and repaint the upper cabinets a neutral tone. Then remove all the lower cabinets and replace them with something else (we like the idea of hickory). The lower cabinets would not be plain doors, but have some beveling on the doors.

Do you think this would work out well, look nice if we did the right color of paint on the upper cabinets? What other suggestions do you have that we might be able to consider?

    Thanks.
