Inappropriate guilt? Did I do the wrong thing?
I was at a work training and ran into a person who a friend of mine used to date. Actually, she had an affair on her husband with him. There was another guy there from work I also knew and we all went out after work for drinks and ended up seeing a band play. For some reason, I feel bad that I went along because she has hard feelings towards him about their relationship. But what was I supposed to do, not go out and stay in my hotel room? Was I a bad friend? There was NO flirtation or anything. Thanks for your feedback.
2 AnswersFamily1 decade agowhat to do when one person likes the dog in bed at night, the other doesn't?
I moved in with my boyfriend a few months ago. I have had a small dog for five years and have been dating my bf for a year. My dog has always slept in my bed. My boyfriend has made it very clear that in his ideal relationship, the dog would not be in the bed at all. He says he is willing to compromise but sometimes I feel like he resents the dog in the bed, or that the dog keeps him up at night. Then I feel bad. I have compromised, in my mind, by training the dog to sleep at the bottom by my feet. I would just like to hear some perspectives or hear about other people's situations like this because I can see both sides.....but I love having my doggie in bed!!
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoConfused! He pursued me relentlessly and then disappeared! What gives?
I met up with a guy two weeks ago who I originally met through a friend, but then he found me online and asked me out on a date. For the first week, he pursued me relentlessly, called off work to meet me out, took me out again a few days later, then came over to my house, brought his dog, and landscaped my whole yard. Prior to that he would text me things like: "I can't wait to see you again, you're so beautiful, I can't stop thinking about you" etc etc. Then, after we went to dinner last weekend he stopped communication. I'm going nuts because I think what did I do? It makes me go over all of my behavior to try and figure out why the sudden change! Is it me or him? Was I a brat, did I not look as pretty? It just makes me feel insecure I suppose, like I did something to put him off. I'm not that upset that it won't work out, but I want to know what happened so I can understand if I offended him or something...any thoughts on why guys can change their minds so fast??
14 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoI want to see my ex again before he gets married....should I?
My ex and I have a long history together, and every once in awhile I think about him and get the urge to email him. When I do email him, he seems to respond right away, and the last time even wanted to call me on the phone to talk. We talked and this was last year. He told me that he is getting married this October, and it made me start thinking about him regularly. I am having major anxiety and regret about not marrying him when he wanted to marry me, and now he is going to get married to someone else. We live about four hours apart. I know it sounds selfish, but I woke up last night thinking about him. The impulsive part of me wants to call him and tell him to meet me for dinner. I know he would, but then it would be hard to leave him again, knowing he is going to be married soon. Should I follow my gut and tell him I have been thinking about him and I want to see him, or do I just try to ignore these urgent feelings and let him go? I feel like I will have regrets. Help!
7 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoLost weight, then gained it back, how to not feel guilty and keep motivated??
About six weeks ago, I was looking and feeling great about my excersise and change in eating habits paying off. I was at my goal weight. Then, over the last four weeks, I have gained 10 pounds back! I am feeling disgusted with myself, because I was just there and now I am back to not fitting into the clothes I bought to celebrate. That makes me feel less motivated to go to the gym, even though I know excersise is the only thing that works to keep the weight off. How do I not get into a rut b/c I gained some weight back and stay motivated to get the pounds back off??
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoMy ex fiance is getting married, and its making me feel sad....?
It has been four years since we broke up, and it ended okay. We were fighting a lot, and although I wanted it to work, it didn't. We were engaged and going to buy a house together. Now, he lives four hours away, and I found out he is getting married in October. It is bittersweet for me. How do you handle it when you find out your ex fiance is getting married?? It brings up thoughts of regret, should I have married him? Did I make a mistake and let the one go? I want to tell him not to do it, but I know that is being impulsive because we both have separate lives now. I just keep thinking we should have kept trying, I am not dating anyone seriously now, and he will be married soon, is that what is making me nuts??? Has anyone gone through this same thing? Him getting married seems so final, like its certain we would never get back together.....I want to be able to let it go, but its really hard not to want to drive to where he is just to see him one more time.
4 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHe has a new girlfriend, but I know we would be a better match!?
The guy I have a huge crush on now has a girlfriend for the first time. He is alomst 30! As far as I know, he has not dated anyone seriously in the past, and I was recently introduced through a friend. He was definitely flirtatious with me. A few months back, he began to date a girl he works with. She is so clingy, and seems insecure about the relationship (like she is in to him more than he is into her). I tried to plant the seed that I am interested, and we met out one night recently when the gf was out of town. He was touching me, and flirting with me the whole night. What do you do when he already has a gf, but you know you are a better match for him! I can't sabotage the relationship can I??? I guess I just have to wait it out, but as time goes on, it may get more serious. Plus, I am casually dating a few guys, but I would rather be with him. Any advice would be great!
17 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoHow do long distance relationships work? Who should move towns? How to know when its time to relocate?
I have known my boyfriend for seven years. We have always kept in touch and I feel like he is very special to my life. We live six hours apart, and see eachother once a month. It is not ideal, but we are trying to keep in touch and I think he wants us to be together eventually. We have been more exclusive for the past year or so, and I want to live near eachother. He is still finishing school, so how can I be patient? What have others done to make the distance work? How do you know when it is the right time to take a risk and move? We both have things to "lose" if we leave our respective towns. I have a house, a job, my family. He has a great job lined up, his family too. Who "should" move? My friends all think I should stay here. I can transfer my position and rent my house. I just do not know how I will know if it is right.!!??
4 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoHow do you treat and condition vintage Gucci interior leather?
I am a collector of vintage gucci bags, and the ones from the 80's are notorious for flaking. The leather is a soft kidskin leather, with some texture, and I don't want to use the wrong conditioner. Does anyone know a natural leather conditioner that will not harm soft delicate leather? I want the bags to keep their moisture so they do not flake. Thank goodness Gucci has now started using fabric for the inside!
